2015 Organizational Seating Program Final Standings

Reminders about how OSP works and how the rankings were established:

1. Each organization submitted a contract and roster to the SGA OSP team at the beginning of the Fall ’14 semester. This OSP roster did not necessarily include all of the organization’s members. The number of members included on the submitted roster determined the amount of rows an organization would be offered if they ranked highly enough to receive rows. Organizations are not required to accept all of the rows offered as it’s traditionally wise to accept fewer to avoid the one-strike penalty for poor attendance in the fall. The number in parentheses next to each organization listed below is the number of members they submitted on their OSP roster.

2. The number of rows an organization is offered is determined by multiplying the numbers of members on their OSP roster by 1.5 (to account for dates/friends). Then, that number is divided by 24 to determine the amount of rows they will be offered (there are 24 seats per row in the OSP Reserved Seating section).

3. This was our first competition year based on GPA, and we are proud of the way many organizations adjusted their study hours and study habits to further encourage academic success. Only the Fall ’14 and Spring ’15 grades for the students listed on an organization’s OSP roster were used to determine their final organizational GPA. The GPAs used were students’ individual semester GPAs, not their cumulative GPAs. The organizations’ Fall ’14 average GPA and Spring ’15 average GPA were added together and then divided by two to determine their final organizational average GPA for 2014-2015.

4. It is impossible to say at this time how many of the organizations below will initially receive rows, as we do not know how many rows the top performing organizations will actually accept. Organizations that do not initially receive rows could still receive rows during the 2015 season when groups that did receive rows fail to fill them. It’s a one-strike policy. In that case, we would offer rows to the next organization in line who did not receive rows initially. This will all be determined at the OSP Row Allocation Meeting on Tuesday, August 18th @ 6:00PM in Student Center 2222.

5. Due to FERPA laws, the sharing of students’ GPAs is strictly prohibited. Therefore, we will not be able to honor any requests for receiving a report for your organization’s members. We are only allowed to share organizational averages. 2015 Organizational Seating Program Final Standings
