Rollins College Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership Certificate in Leadership Practice Scholarship Application

The Certificate in Leadership Practice is designed for nonprofit professionals, including emerging leaders, who are ready to take their leadership skill set to the next level. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of their personal leadership style through self-assessment, develop an understanding of organization dynamics and the role leaders play at all levels, and learn to be more effective leaders within their current, or future leadership positions.

One, fully-paid scholarship will be awarded annually to a public relations or communications professional through the generous support of the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation in memory of Karen Plunkett, APR. The Certificate in Leadership Practice involves the completion of outside reading and assignments and will only be awarded to those who complete the assignments and attend all four sessions in their entirety. The scholarship recipient must complete the program in full or the value of the scholarship ($1,050) must be paid to the Edyth Bush Institute.

Session dates and times: October 4, 2017 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. October 11, 2017 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. October 18, 2017 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. October 25, 2017 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Criteria to apply:  Individual must work in marketing, public relations or a related communications field.  Preference will be given to individuals currently working at a nonprofit organization, or serving a nonprofit organization in some capacity (i.e. board of directors, key volunteer, other).  Only individuals working in Orange, Osceola, Lake and Seminole counties are eligible.
