“Welcome to (“Future Forecast” for the Travel and Tourism Industry) insert the title of your event We have a few NEWH business announcements:  Thank Event Sponsors (We’d like to thank IDI for generously sponsoring tonight’s program, say a little about what IDI does as a company, introduce the attendee from IDI and ask them to stand)  Thank NEWH Corporate Partners (Use current list: Benefactors: xxxxx Patrons: xxxxx Supporting: xxxxx)  Without these generous supporters of NEWH we could not accomplish what we do today!  Those of you that may not be as familiar with NEWH, here is a little bit about who we are and what we do: Customize for your chapter (Our Chapter Mission Statement is: “The mission of NEWH, Washington DC Metropolitan Chapter, is to attract a diverse membership through quality educational programs, community service, fundraising and networking opportunities to further advance and foster the education of women seeking careers in the hospitality industry.” Our charter is to raise scholarship funds for individuals pursuing a career in the hospitality industry – whether it is in design, culinary or management. We provide educational programs, community service events and host fundraising events for our scholarship fund. Last year we awarded over $6,000 in scholarships to six individuals thanks to you and our generous supporters. At this year’s fundraising event, we will have the 2002 Scholarship Recipients in attendance and assisting us with the event. I encourage all of you come and meet the students that benefited from your generosity and the hard work of our fundraising directors and committee.  Introduce all BOD members in attendance and ask to stand
