2014 – Present Pediatric Psychology Lab, Clinical and Health Psychology Department, University of Florida Graduate Research Assistant of Dr. David Janicke - Responsibilities include: Conducting assessments, screenings, and collecting and entering data; Conducting literature reviews, preparing papers for publication and supervising undergraduate research assistants; and assisting in manual development

1 2012 – 2014 Classroom Memory Study, Department of Psychology, UNC Chapel Hill Research Assistant of Drs. Peter Ornstein and Jennifer Coffman - Study aimed at investigating children’s performance across different experimental conditions that vary only in the style of language used in an instructional unit. - Responsibilities included: assisting in the development of after-school curricula (math/science and language arts); training undergraduate research assistants, data management; supporting classroom instruction; and, administering a battery of memory and academic achievement tasks. - Master coder and trainer for the Object Memory Task, using the Noldus Observer Video system to code children’s verbal and non-verbal behaviors as they “work to remember” objects presented to them during the 2-minute study period.

2012 – 2014 Project LEAPS, Center for Developmental Science, UNC Chapel Hill Research Assistant of Drs. Jennifer Coffman and Cathi Propper - A short-term longitudinal investigation aimed at investigating the role of the home and school contexts in the development of self-regulation and how regulation may be related to children’s early school readiness. - Responsibilities include: recruiting and scheduling children and families; administering assessments with participants; managing data (e.g. entry, scoring, and coding tasks); and, submitting IRB documentation. - Supervise research assistants, and developed proficiency at heart rate data editing and behavioral coding schemes such as live classroom coding using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS).

Summer 2012 Eating Disorders Program, Department of Psychiatry, UNC Chapel Hill Volunteer Research Assistant of Drs. Cindy Bulik and Stephanie Zerwas - Assisted with two research studies: Uniting Couples in the Treatment of Anorexia Nervosa 2 (UCAN2), and the iEAT project. - Created a website database for the worksheets used by the program’s therapists. - Responsibilities included: creating a streamlined Excel spreadsheet to quickly generate weekly graphic summaries of daily food consumption for iEAT subjects; assisting in creating advertising for UCAN2; and, preparing training materials.

Summer 2012 Center for Women’s Mood Disorders, Department of Psychiatry, UNC Chapel Hill Volunteer Research Assistant of Dr. Susan Girdler - Assisted with the Perimenopausal Estrogen Replacement Therapy Study and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder screening studies. - Responsibilities included: data collection; data entry and screening; and, assistance in preparation of recruitment and research materials.

2011-2012 Senior Honors Thesis Research, Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA Under advisement of Dr. David Dean - Conducted study, “Change in first-year women’s body dissatisfaction in relation to drive for thinness and social body comparison,” which investigated how initial levels for drive for thinness and social body comparison in women entering their first semester of college are related to later changes in body dissatisfaction. - Wrote and submitted an IRB proposal, designed the survey sent out to first-year women, scored returned surveys, analyzed data using SPSS, prepared, and then, defended my thesis.

Summer 2011 National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center, Medical University of South Carolina Volunteer Research Assistant of Dr. Alyssa Rheingold - Assisted on various research projects exploring the treatment of trauma. The projects funded through a federally Victims of Crime Act Grant, focused on improving service utilization for patients seen at the outpatient Adult and Child clinics at the NCVC. 2 - Responsibilities included: data entry; literature searches; assisting with the coordination of follow-up care; providing emotional support; and, assisting with crisis intervention by transporting families to victim-related appointments and watching children. - Observed a weekly support group for family members of homicide victims.

2009 – 2012 Sexual Assault Research Team, Bucknell University Senior Research Assistant of Dr. William Flack - Assisted on a longitudinal study aimed to understand the relationship between the incidence of sexual assault at Bucknell University and social factors. - Responsibilities included: assisting with IRB proposal writing; survey design; data collection; data analysis; and, poster presentations.

2012 - 2014 Hopeline Inc., Raleigh, NC Crisis Hotline Volunteer under supervision of Courtney Worthen - A not-for-profit organization based in Raleigh, NC that provides confidential services offering caring, non-judgmental listening and resource information in an effort to improve the overall well-being of people in the community. - Received 40 hours of active listening and crisis interviewing training before applying those skills 9 hours a month while answering crisis phone calls and conducting reassurance calls to elderly individuals in the community lacking social support networks.

Summer 2011 C.A.L.M.S., Londonderry, UK Intern of Elaine Proteous - A not-for-profit organization in Northern Ireland that provides a variety of treatment, ranging from psychotherapy to massage therapy, for those who were affected by sectarian violence during what is known as the Troubles. - Responsibilities included designing a website for the organization and attending events.

Fall 2011 Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA Residential Assistant under the supervision of Raechel Gebley - Received training in active listening and handling crisis situations. - Responsibilities included: serving as a liaison between the university and students; providing a support system to students; facilitating a safe community for students; advising students on resources available at Bucknell University; and organizing health education events.

Spring 2010 Danville State Hospital, Lewisburg, PA Student facilitator under the supervision of Dr. William Flack - Weekly practica through Bucknell University’s abnormal psychology course. - Facilitated weekly activities for the 20 men on the men’s extended unit.

2009– 2012 Student Calling, Bucknell University Student Manager - Called alumni of Bucknell University to solicit Annual fund contributions, leading to $59,700 raised personally for Bucknell’s Annual Fund. - Promoted to manager and oversaw over 40 callers, assigned calls, conducted quality control and did problem solving.

2011 Study Abroad, Tours, France Student - Lived in Tours, France for four months while attending the Université François Rabelais.

2011 Study Abroad, Londonderry, Northern Ireland Student - Spent a month in Northern Ireland taking courses about the Troubles and interning at C.A.L.M.S., a stress treatment center for those touched by the Troubles.

Summer 2010 National Kidney Foundation Servicing Virginia, Richmond, VA Public Relations and Event Planning Intern of Lynn Cutter - Aided in the organization of the Richmond, Roanoke and Virginia Beach Kidney Walks in addition to assisting with running a silent auction to fund the Richmond Kidney walk.

4 2008-2011 Advancing Communities, Educating and Serving (A.C.E.S.), Bucknell University Co-Chair - A not-for-profit organization based in the Dominican Republic that aims to address the wide gap between the upper and lower class. - Orchestrated a comprehensive fundraising campaign to raise funds for the 2010 Spring Break service Trip to the Dominica Republic by planning the first annual “Semana de A.C.E.S.” - In addition to fundraising efforts at Bucknell University, participated on the 2009 and 2010 Spring Break trips to the Dominican Republic.
