BRITISH UNIVERSITIES TRAMPOLINING 2005-2006 SOUTHERN REGIONAL QUALIFYING ROUND INFORMATION

Please find attached information for the above round at the University of Surrey on Sunday 12th February 2006. Enclosed is the timetable, directions to the University of Surrey, an accommodation list and the Bouncing Order, along with a list of Elite Competitors who have been accepted to the championships and a list of Rejected Entries.

Surrey have also enclosed an introduction letter and an information sheet for Team Members.

TIMETABLE: Check in 9.00am Detailed Event Timetable Below with category breakdown. Presentations approximately 6.30-7.00pm

There will also be an open familiarization from 17.00-19.30pm on Saturday 11th February.

Please note due to time constraints the novices/ladies intermediate will be restricted to one routine practice in the general warm ups.

FINAL INFORMATION: Information regarding the Final, including bouncing orders will be available in the BUSA Mailout on Tuesday 28th February 2006. This information will also be published on the Trampolining pages on the BUSA website (www.busa.org.uk/trampolining) under Championships.

BRITISH UNIVERSITIES TRAMPOLINING CHAMPIONSHIPS REGIONAL QUALIFICATION ROUND – SOUTH 2006

INTRODUCTION

The University of Surrey is very proud to be hosting the BUSA Trampolining Championships Regional Qualification Round once again this year.

May we take this opportunity to thank various individuals who have helped us make the event possible.

We would like to thank Sue Lawton (British Gymnastic Trampoline National Coach + Edgbarrow Club) and Tim Smith for all their technical support and advice and to all the judges for giving up yet another weekend.

Thanks are also extended to St John Ambulance for their medical support, and the Varsity Caterers for providing refreshments at the Sport Centre and the judges lunches. A thank you to the Unisport staff for the provision of facilities and assistance, and to the University Sports Office for their support. Finally a special thanks goes to Sally Edie, without whom the event would not take place.

BRITISH UNIVERSITIES TRAMPOLINING 2006 REGIONAL QUALIFICATION – SOUTHERN REGION TIMETABLE SATURDAY 11 FEBRUARY

5-7.30pm Trampolines available for warm up and familiarisation.

SUNDAY 12 FEBRAUARY

9-9.15am Registration, general and controlled warm ups. Team representatives to be confirmed by Team Managers. These can not be changed once the competition has started. Internmediate & Advanced tariff sheets only to be submitted.

9am Meeting of officials

By 10am Order form for sandwiches, plus payment to Registration desk.

N.B. Due to time constraints Novice & Intermediate competitors will receive only one pre- competition general warm up each for their compulsory and voluntary routines. Advance competitors will receive two of each plus a controlled warm up prior to competing.

Competitors have been placed in groups and will warm up and then complete their compulsory & voluntary routines consecutively. Competitors may not change their group number or exchange places with another competitor. You are advised to be one hours early for your group time. Should the programme get ahead of schedule the organisers reserve the right to run one hour ahead of timetable.

Please make sure you have your trained spotters ready for warm up and competition.

Times are approximate. Due to expected withdrawals we reserve the right to run one hour ahead of schedule. Please arrive at least one hour in advance of your warm up time (9.00am groups only will commence at scheduled time).

NOVICE and INTERMEDIATE competitors will receive one general warm up and one controlled warm up. ADVANCED competitors will receive two general warm ups and one controlled warm up.

DIRECTIONS TO UNIVERSITY OF SURREY SPORTS CENTRE

From North: Leave M25 at Junction 10, signed 'GUILDFORD A3'. Remain on the A3 until you reach the exit sign for 'HOSPITALS, ONSLOW VILLAGE, RESEARCH PARK, UNIVERSITY & CATHEDRAL'. Exit the A3 on this slip road, and keep left, taking the first exit left on to the University Campus. The Sports Centre is the ivy-covered building on the right-hand side. Suggested parking is in Car Park 1 directly on your left as you enter campus.

From South: Remain on the A3 until you reach the sign for 'CATHEDRAL and UNIVERSITY'. Exit the A3 on this slip road. At the roundabout, take the third exit, signed 'GUILDFORD CENTRE, UNIVERSITY & PARK AND RIDE'. Drive under the bridge, and at the next roundabout, take the second exit on to the University Campus. The Sports Centre is the ivy-covered building on the right-hand side. Suggested parking is in Car Park 1 directly on your left as you enter campus.
