Richard Power Bookmakers Private Client Betting Terms Of Business

INTRODUCTION

Our business was established in 1898 and over the years has grown on the basis of mutual trust and confidence between client and ourselves. We are proud of our reputation for personal service and integrity. Our terms of business are listed below. In the unlikely event of a dispute arising, we will aim to settle it in a fair and equitable manner.

OPENING HOURS

Our trading desk telephone lines are open from 9.30am seven days a week.

ACCOUNTS

Accounts can be opened in either Sterling or Euro. All accounts are weekly unless otherwise agreed and are subject to credit limits. Payment of winnings are made by cheque.

ACCEPTANCE OF BETS

 The placing of a bet with Richard Power, signifies your acceptance of our rules, whether or not you have familiarised yourself with them.  Once a bet has been accepted it can only be cancelled by mutual consent.  Subject to these rules, bets are accepted for race meetings held under the Turf Club, Jockey Club, France-Galop or their equivalent bodies.  We reserve the right to refuse the whole or part of any bet without giving an explanation.  All bets on horse racing will be settled on the official result.  All bets are deemed to be for the day of acceptance, unless specifically stated otherwise.  If an incorrect price is given in error, Richard Power reserves the right to settle the bet at the correct price.  In the event of a dispute over the time a bet was taken, our telephone recording system will govern the settlement.  We do not take responsibility for determining the law of every country and state. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that betting is legal from within their own jurisdiction.  We cannot guarantee to correct errors if they are brought to our attention more than six months after the official result of the last selection to run on the bet.

LIMITS

There is no limit to the amount that can be won on single bets. Multiple bets are subject to a limit of Euro €150,000 and Stg £100,000.

TATTERSALLS RULE 4

When a selection is withdrawn prior to the start of an event, remaining selections may be subject to Tattersalls Rule 4 deductions unless the withdrawn selection is 14/1 or greater. Where a morning / early price is taken on Irish horseracing and the total Rule 4 deductions are 15 cent in the Euro or more the price will revert to SP.(starting price)
