For example when the boys kept beating him up every day and when the little boy’s mom kept sending him out every day for groceries and told him not to come back without them or she was going to whip him. They are very believable and determined to keep beating the little boy up and the mom was determined to not have him come in the house with no groceries. 3. What is/are the conflict/s in the story? Is/Are the conflict/s physical, intellectual, moral, emotional? The conflict in the story is the little boy7 trying to go get groceries for his mom but the boys keep beating him up and taking his money. The effected the little boy physical, emotionally, and morally. 4. What is the story’s theme? Or what message is the story trying to communicate? The story’s theme and the message that the story is trying to communicate is to stand up for yourself and no matter what happens you can keep accomplishing your goals. 5. The end of the story was happy because the boy overcame his fear and finally got those groceries his mother had asked for. I wasn’t surprised that the boy was going to fight because I knew that he wasn’t happy with what the boys were doing to him every day. I believe it made the ending of the story stronger. 7. From whose point of view is the action seen? Is the point of view omniscient, first person, or objective? Are there shifts in point of view in the story and if so, why? The point of view in the story would be the little boy, and it would also be omniscient. There was no shift in point of view because throughout the whole story the little boy was telling us about himself and what was going on. 8.
