Survey content/questions below. Thank you. Over the past decade, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has installed a significant amount of fiber optic cable infrastructure in support of their Freeway Management System (FMS). This fiber optic communications infrastructure is a critical component of maintaining FMS operations; as well as, providing Center-to-Center communications links for the Regional Community Network and the various Traffic Management Centers. In order to properly manage and maintain this fiber optic communications infrastructure, a fiber management software solution is needed to properly manage and troubleshoot existing fiber optic paths; as well as, support more efficient and reliable design efforts for modifying and adding to this infrastructure during future FMS project upgrades. In an effort to gather information on other states' experience with fiber optic management applications, and minimize our project risk, ADOT is requesting your assistance via a brief 5-10 minute survey.
