GATHERING WORDS

Welcome. A wedding is such a wonderful occasion filled with hopes, dreams, and excitement. We are here to celebrate the love that Gilyn and Norman have for each other, and to recognize and witness their decision to journey forward in their lives as marriage partners.

They welcome you here and thank you for sharing this important day with them.

MARRIAGE ADDRESS

Gilyn and Norman, this bond you share is a true blessing. Treasure it and carefully tend it each day. You breathe life into one another and provide a safe and sacred harbor where you are able to shed all of your worldly illusions while witnessing, receiving, and cherishing the precious truth of one another.

Generously shower each other with the gifts of your faith, strength, honesty, beauty, and complexity.

WEDDING VOWS On this very special day, Gilyn and Norman have written their wedding vows for one another. At this time, I invite you to join hands and share your wedding vows. Norman first, Gilyn follows.

I love you, Gilyn. You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life.

Norman, today I will marry you. My friend, the one I will live with, dream with, and love forever. I take you to be my husband. From this day forward I will cherish you. I will look with joy down the path of our tomorrows, knowing we will walk it together side by side, hand in hand, and heart to heart.

RING EXCHANGE May I have the rings please? These rings are symbols of your love; as circles, they have no beginning and no end, May these rings serve to remind you of the freedom and power of your love. Norman, place the ring on Gilyn’s finger and repeat after me:

This ring is my gift to you May it always remind you That from this day forward You will be surrounded by my love.

FINAL BLESSING

Now that Gilyn and Norman have joined themselves to each other by solemn vows, and by the giving and receiving of rings, in front of this loving community of family and friends, it gives me great joy to pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Norman and Gilyn Rosenberg
