Overcome barriers (1.47) http://www.overcomebarriers.eu This animated film was developed as part of the EU co-funded project "Making development inclusive" by Associazione Italiana Amici di Raoul Follereau (AIFO) in collaboration with International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC), Leonard Cheshire Disability and other partners. The video "Think BIG. Overcome barriers" is a contribution to breaking down the barriers that, in everyday life, can take a variety of forms, including those relating to the physical environment or to information and communications technology (ICT), or those resulting from legislation or policy, or from societal attitudes or discrimination. Making Development Inclusive is a project funded by the Directorate General for Development and Cooperation - EuropeAid (DG DEVCO) of the European Union. 2. The British Paraorchestra 'True Colors' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bupIH3UkPnU The video features ParalympicsGB athletes and The Kaos Signing Choir for Deaf and Hearing Children. (Proceeds from sales of the British Paraorchestra's 'True Colors' will go towards supporting the ParalympicsGB team at the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, to enable The Kaos Signing Choir for Deaf & Hearing Children set up a new Saturday Signing Choir and to fund their next signed song DVD, and for the future growth and development of The British Paraorchestra.)

Carry on (3.40) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LmvGNlxFrc A film by Gurston Opar and other members of the Leonard Cheshire Disability Young Voices project in Kenya, presents a reggae song and message that “Disability is not inability”. Young Voices is a project of the Leonard Cheshire Disability Global Alliance. It brings together groups of young disabled people from 21 different countries. It gives an opportunity for them to share their experiences of fighting discrimination and learn about the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their human rights. It gives them training in campaigning, advocacy and media skills to help them raise awareness and work with their Governments to ensure the implementation of the UNCRPD. 4. Inclusion (7.00) Inclusion is the poignant record of Zuihou Taiko drumming team, a professional drumming team made up of persons with learning disabilities that placed 2nd in the Tokyo International Japanese Drumming Competition. Living in a community called “Colony Unzen” in Nagasaki prefecture, the team leads an autonomous existence in normal, residential homes, with the support and friendship of both specialists and ordinary neighbours. Although the members started drumming as a mere rehabilitation and therapy exercise, through sheer dedication, constant practice, they became a full-fledged drumming team, fulfilling their dream to compete professionally under the supervision of Ichiro Jishoya, a world-class taiko drummer. The current short film is an extract from the feature-length documentary, which presents the team in action that shows us a world of Inclusion. The film will be introduced by former First Lady Kayoko Hosokawa of Japan and Mr. Hiro Ueki, Chief, UN Information Centers Service.

My Story - Kazol Rekha (3.23) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XKFtRiVd_c&feature=share&list=UUa60-Uai8j3FPTCACD5Dndg Kazol Rekha is a young woman living in a village in a flood-prone area of Bangladesh. Kazol is paralysed after an accident severed her spinal cord. In this video she tells about her role on the Disaster Preparedness Committee, making sure people with disability are not forgotten when disaster strikes. This video is the result of a collaborative effort between CBM Australia, Centre for Disability in Development (Bangladesh), DRIK Bangladesh and Room3 Australia.

6. Long Shot: The Kevin Laue Story (7.00) http://www.thekevinlauestory.com/film An uplifting film about the true story of a courageous young man that help raise awareness about disability issues and challenges the assumptions about persons with disabilities and their participation in any aspect of society. Kevin Laue was born with his left arm ending just below the elbow. Yet he had a dream of playing basketball. His tenacity, determination and talent that worked to remove barriers to his inclusion in the sport and helped him to succeed, as did the support he received from his coach and family. This film by Franklin Martin, Produced by Dutchmen Films is sponsored at UNEFF by the Eng Aja Eze Foundation. The main character of the film, Kevin Laue, a motivated speaker, will introduce the film.

1 7. Don't Leave Me Out! (3.30) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-epg4K7e50Q&feature=youtu.be This is a film about the vital need for captioning in everyday life without which deaf persons and the hearing impaired are often left out. This video with true-life messages, is produced by the Collaborative for Communication Access via Captioning (CCAC), an international volunteer organization that advocates for inclusion of quality captioning (subtitles too) universally.

Džina Kadrić – My Story (2.21) and Nadza Suljovic (1.00) http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMZt0_vvUWNJyiPfHVM3JAg?feature=g-all-u http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLJsPTW8sic The two short films are designed as an integral part of the e-participation portal: http://www.visemogucnosti.info that the UNDP country office in Bosnia and Herzegovina is developing to: promote the visibility of persons with disabilities in the country; to promote the UNCRPD (local institutional and legislative mechanisms, and tools for implementing UNCRPD); to provide the tool for reporting the PwD discrimination; as well as the medium for NGOs and citizens to give policy proposals aiming to align the national legislation with the UNCRPD commitments.

Interviews with highly accomplished disabled women activists highlight the vision, determination, challenges and recommendations for including women and girls in international development programs. Sharing strategies across borders, these activists are paving the way for women and girls with disabilities in their own countries to achieve their human rights. The video also focuses on Mobility International USA (MIUSA)'s unique model of international leadership training, the Women’s Institute on Leadership and Disability. The video is captioned in English, Spanish and Arabic.

London 2012 – Best Games Ever (4.02) http://www.youtube.com/embed/7JBoI08tSMU The International Paralympic Committee has launched a video showcasing some of the most emotional moments from the London 2012 Paralympic Games to commemorate International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2012. The Vision of the International Paralympic Committee is to: "To Enable Paralympic Athletes to Achieve Sporting Excellence and Inspire and Excite the World"

Diverse Universes (6.49) http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA348CF40F5C448BE The film is part of a series of eight fictional short films that highlights the importance of inclusion of persons with disabilities in everyday life. In each story, the characters are faced with challenging situations and find ways to resolve them. Signal Santa Fe is a programme of the Ministry of Innovation and Culture in Santa Fe, dedicated to generating cultural television content that combines audiovisual creation and participation.

My wish upon a star (11.14) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exeyvKHPo2g Often, the abilities of people with visual impairment are underestimated, due to the lack of understanding about their disability or stereotypical assumptions about them. In reality, with equal access to education and employment, they would have the opportunity to realize their potential and contribute to society just like any of us. My Wish Upon a Star, features the stories of people with visual impairment and how they overcame difficulties to lead independent lives. The film was produced by the Equal Opportunities Commission, Hong Kong, China (SAR).

13. Body and Soul (54.00) www.bodyandsoulmozambique.com “Body and Soul” is an award-winning documentary that tells the inspiring stories of three young Mozambicans with disabilities. Victória, Mariana and Vasco are three young Mozambicans with physical disabilities, who live in the suburbs of Maputo, Mozambique’s capital city. Victória transmits her self-esteem she gained through her own life experience, with other physically disabled women, by organizing a fashion show; Mariana uses her social energy to create helpful friendships and overcome the urban architectural barriers and Vasco does business, repairing shoes in the informal sector. Their daily lives reveal their physical, psychological and emotional challenges. The film explores how they look at themselves and others and raises universal questions about self- acceptance and how to find one’s place in society.
