ALL SCHOOL:

 The MAC Graduation for MAC Diamonds and Scholars will take place on Friday, May 13th during 5th period. ALL MAC Diamonds and Scholars should see Mrs. Sorrells or Ms. Watkins-Clark for further instructions. (5/13)

 Attention SLACkers and Book Clubbers: Permission slips are due this week for the field trip to LitCon. Please return them ASAP to Mrs. Charnock.(5/12)

 Seniors , if you ordered Graduation Announcements Please stop in to see Mrs. Sanford in the Principal’s Office, before school, after school or during your lunch break to pick them up.(5/13)

 Check out the South Euclid-Lyndhurst public library book discussion group for teens, and educators, who love Teen Lit. The next book will be How to Lead a Life of Crime, a gritty, fast-paced thriller about a private school that trains criminal masterminds. Copies are available at the public library.  Student Congress will have a meeting on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 3:05-4:05 in room B109 to discuss Homecoming decorations. Student Congress officer elections will be held from Monday, May 16, 2016-Friday, May 20, 2016. Students, please check you e-mail for a link to the ballots. Teachers, please allow the students to vote during their seminar period. (5/12)

 Seniors as these next few weeks are winding down, please be aware of the following: o Final Exams will take place Tuesday, May 17th through Thursday, May 19th

o Cap & Gown/Ticket Pick-up for Seniors’ will take place in Welser Gym Hallway on Friday, May 20th, starting @ 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. (5/20)

o Commencement Rehearsal will take place Thursday morning, May 26 th, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Report to Welser Gym Hallway @ 8:30 a.m. – BE ON TIME! . Students participating in commencement must attend the rehearsal. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! . Busing will be provided to and from Brush for the rehearsal. Students do not need to wear their caps & gowns for rehearsal. The buses will return from the Connor Palace Theatre to the high school at approximately 12:30 p.m.

o Commencement Ceremony will take place Thursday evening , May 26 th Report to Brush Welser Gym Hallway @ 4:15 p.m.-Again BE ON TIME! . ALL Graduates must ride the bus. No Exceptions!!! Students must arrive at Brush by 4:15 p.m. to board the buses at Welser parking lot. All Graduates must ride the bus to The Connor Palace Theatre and may arrange for their own transportation home. . If transportation is needed back to Brush, it will be provided. . Students should report @ 4:15 pm for the bus dressed in their caps and gowns. NO Exceptions!!! SPORTS

 The Arcette Dance Team Pre-Audition Workshop is this Saturday, May 14th from 10am-3pm in the Brush Cafeteria. It is Mandatory to attend this event if you plan to audition to learn the dance routines that you will perform at the Final Auditions." For questions, Email [email protected]"(5/12)

 Attention all students interested in participating as a member of the Brush Golf Team. There will be a brief informational meeting after school at 3:15pm on Tuesday, May 17th. Please meet Coach Medve in Welser to discuss the upcoming golf season. (5/17)

 The Brush Track Teams The Western Reserve Conference track and field championship was held yesterday at the Spire institute in Geneva, Ohio yesterday. Brush girls Raven Drake and Jasmyn Allen finished 2nd and 3rd in the 100 meter hurdles. Raven finished second in the 300 meter hurdles also. Arielle Debase earned 3rd place in the 400 meters. The girls 4 x 200 meter relay team of Aniah Jackson, Allen, Drake, and Debase finished 2nd. Jai Dixon paced the Brush boys team by winning both hurdle events and the 200 meter meters. He also anchored the 3rd place 4 x 400 meter team with Joshua Pope, Kieth Pearson, and Quentin Woodall. Quentin Woodall was second to Jai in the 300 meter hurdles and third in the 110 meter hurdles. Congratulations. Tre Chane Shanklin was second place in the shot put in the W.R.C. Championship meet yesterday. Congratulations.(5/12)

 The Baseball Team opened up play in the state tournament last night going on the road and beating Madison 5-4. Travis Thompson pitched a complete game for the win, while senior Nate Shorts drove in the winning run in the last inning. Outstanding defense by Shorts, fellow senior Matt Kornet & sophomores Nick Malenda & Tyler Iaccabucci preserved the win for Brush. The playoff run continues tonight in Chardon against the Hilltoppers. (5/12)
