Directions: The class will break up into three equal groups. Then, each group will be assigned three of the following questions. Please read your questions carefully, discuss the possible answers, identify specific evidence to support your answer, and each member is to write out a clear response to the question. For those questions that you are not assigned, for homework, you are to jot down simple ideas and thoughts to show a consideration of an answer. An answer for an assigned questions that is vague or unsupported will not receive credit.
1. Does Hedda Gabler critique feminist principles or support them? What about the character of Hedda herself?
2. Is Hedda Gabler a victim of societal pressures and her own circumstances, or a victim only of her own machinations? Give three examples to support your answer.
