OPENEYE X-SERIES SH DIGITAL RECORDER A&E SPECIFICATIONS 240 PPS HIGH DEFINITION DIGITAL RECORDER

SECTION I 1.01 MINIMUM DIGITAL RECORDER SPECIFICATIONS The digital recorder shall meet or exceed the following design and performance specifications: 1. As a quality precaution, all responding manufacturers shall be ISO9001:2000 certified.

2. The Digital Recording and Transmission System must be assembled in the U.S.A.

3. The Digital Recorder shall have a minimum of an Intel® Quad Core Duo processor, 2 GB of system memory, and an internal 100/1000 Network Interface.

4. The Digital Recorder shall have Dual monitor output on all models.

5. The Digital Recorder shall operate on the Microsoft Windows XP Embedded platform.

6. The digital recorder shall be housed in a high performance, 3U chassis designed to fit into a 19” EIA rack. The front panel shall come with the ability to be locked by key.

7. The Digital Recorder, regardless of number of inputs, shall offer the following on board storage hard drive capacity options with two internally installed hard disks:

a. 6.0 Terabytes b. 4.0 Terabytes c. 2.0 Terabytes d. 1.0 Terabytes

8. The Digital Recorder Manufacturer shall offer a 1U rack mountable external storage option of 4TB or 8TB in a JBOD a configuration through a SCSI interface.

9. The Digital Recorder Manufacturer shall offer a 3U rack mountable external storage of 8TB, 16TB and 32TB configurable in RAID 5 and RAID 6 through a SCSI interface.

10. The digital recorder shall provide 16 video camera inputs at a minimum system wide recording rate of 240 frames per second (PPS). The digital recorder shall have an equivalent number of looping video outputs to the number of video inputs available. The digital recorder shall include BNC Dongles used for looping outputs. Looping outputs shall also have 75 Ohm termination available.

11. The Digital Recorder must be capable of recording network video from a network camera or video server using a direct IP network interface.

12. The Digital Recorder must function as an HVR (Hybrid Video Recorder) allowing recording of both analog and IP video, selectable by user, on all video channels.

13. The Digital Recorder must support a majority of IP cameras from major manufactures. At a minimum to include the following:

14. The Digital Recorder must come with 16 hybrid recording channels standard.

15. The Digital Recorder shall support Megapixel IP cameras.

16. The digital recorder software will include the ability to discover IP cameras from the network with an integrated camera discovery protocol and add them to your digital recorder from a single interface.

17. The digital recorder shall allow up to 5 users to connect simultaneously.

18. The digital recorder shall include an option to enable Wide Screen support for monitors that output in 16:9 ratios. The feature shall allow the operator to switch between the standard 4:3 ratio and the widescreen 16:9 ratio

19. The digital recorder multiplexer portion of the system shall allow for various viewing/recording configurations of full-screen, 4, 7, 9, 10, 13 or 16 cameras.

20. The digital recorder shall have the ability to customize cameras with operator defined names. These names must be viewable and transferable after proprietarily backing up.

21. The digital recorder shall have built-in motion detection for each camera (including all IP cameras). The operator shall be able to independently select the cameras motion detection area with the ability to draw up to 5 different motion detection boxes within the cameras view. The operator shall be able to adjust the cameras sensitivity independently.

22. The digital recorder shall include Advanced Motion detection capabilities and when enabled, will allow for up to 15 motion boxes to be set. A combination of rectangles, circles and complex polygon shapes can be set within the Advanced Motion detection area.

23. The digital recorder shall have the ability to hide cameras from general users, yet still record.

24. The Digital Recorder shall include Active Directory integration which allows domain user management tools to manage the digital recorder user accounts, Options shall include the ability to add and remove users from the digital recorder through group membership administration via a Windows domain controller, and a single sign-on feature that passes digital recorder user log on credentials to the video management and remote software.

25. The digital recorder shall have the ability to manually adjust each cameras brightness, contrast and hue independently.

26. The digital recorder shall be able to restart upon unpredictable power outage while restoring operator custom configurations.

27. The digital recorder shall include a hardware monitoring (watchdog) system which will monitor the systems hardware devices. If the system should ever lockup the hardware monitoring system shall automatically reboot the system. Therefore allowing the system to begin recording immediately upon

28. The system shall provide for at least 100 different usernames (and passwords) to which specific privileges such as search, setup, PTZ, shutdown, and backup may be assigned. The administrator shall be capable of hiding any different combination of cameras from each of the users.

29. The digital recorder shall have 16 sensor inputs which are capable of triggering alarm events or initiating recording. The operator shall be able to set each sensor input as normally open or normally closed. A pre-alarm recording feature shall be available to record up to 60 seconds of video prior to the sensor input being activated. A record of all sensor events shall also be provided.

30. The digital recorder shall provide 4 dry contact alarm outputs to activate external devices.

31. The digital recorder shall provide 16 BNC inputs for video, one 9-pin D-type connector, two 6-pin mini- DIN connectors for a PS/2 mouse and keyboard, a 15-pin D-type SVGA port for a PC monitor connection, a DVI-D port for a high definition PC monitor connection, at a minimum 1 RCA jack for analog monitor output, at a minimum 7 USB Ports, and an RJ-45 connector for network connectivity. The system shall provide 16 push-in connectors for sensor inputs and 4 push-in connectors for alarm outputs. The system shall provide a minimum of 2 channels for audio recording capabilities.

32. The digital recorder shall include an internal RS-485 connection from which the operator may interface at least 75 different brands of PTZ cameras. The operator shall have the ability to control the PTZ functions while connected to the digital recorder remotely. The operator shall have the ability to control different brands of PTZ cameras which utilize different protocols with a single digital recorder.

33. The digital recorder shall offer on screen PTZ camera control by clicking and dragging the mouse over the live video display.

34. The Digital Recorder shall include DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) for free for the life of the product. DDNS shall allow the operator to use a URL address instead of a static IP address.

35. The digital recorder shall provide email notification to one or more recipients for video loss, motion, sensor, hard drive smart check, and system health events.

36. The digital recorder shall provide a LAN/WAN connection. Required software or hardware shall be provided for operating the digital recorder over the network free of charge. The remote operator shall also be capable of backing up still JPG images, and/or video segments to his/her local hard disk in AVI or proprietary file format.

37. The digital recorder shall offer a Multi-Codec option that allows the operator to select M-JPEG, MPEG4, or H.264 as the compression format for recording video. The compression method may further be specified on a per camera basis allowing multiple compression formats to be used simultaneously.

38. The digital recorder shall support NTSC- or PAL-formatted video.

39. The digital recorder shall include a standard DVDRW drive capable of Read/Write/Burn at the following speeds: 22x DVD±R Burn, 16x DVD±R Read, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD±R9, 12x DVD-RAM, 48x32x CD-R/RW to which the operator may backup video in its proprietary format or in AVI format.

40. The digital recorder shall have the ability to span backed up recorded video over multiple DVDs.

41. The digital recorder shall allow the inclusion of backup viewer software on the backup media to allow viewing the proprietary video.

42. The digital recorder shall provide the necessary software for image authenticity verification of each image recorded.

30194AB 43. The operator shall be capable of programming the system locally through a standard PC keyboard and mouse or remotely over a LAN/WAN via a Remote Management Software Client.

44. The digital recorder shall provide a camera sabotage function to allow an alarm event to occur when the camera field of view experiences significant pixel change (e.g. changing the view of the camera, obscuring the lenses, significant shaking or vibration, or blinding light). When a video loss event occurs, the operator shall have the option to enable an alarm beep or a custom WAV file audible alert utilizing the internal speaker of the digital recorder, and/or activate an alarm output.

45. The digital recorder shall be capable of notifying the local operator by sound in the event video from a camera is lost (video loss alarm).

46. The digital recorder shall be capable of triggering an external alarm device through a control output in the event video a camera is lost (video loss alarm).

47. The digital recorder shall be capable of triggering an external alarm device through a control output in the event power is lost (power loss alarm).

48. The digital recorder shall have an operating temperature rate of 41°F to 104°F (5° to 40°C).

49. The digital recorder shall operate at a relative humidity rate of maximum 80% non-condensing.

50. The digital recorder shall be RoHS compliant, have UL and CE Certification and have all clearly labeled on the outside of the box.

51. The digital recorder shall be able to run Point of Sale Software. The system shall have the capability to overlay text from POS systems directly onto the video and maintain an index of transaction data associated with the video for indexing and searching.

52. The digital recorder shall be able to run optional Video Analytics software allowing intelligent video monitoring including real time notification of detected events and search capabilities selectable on a per camera basis.

53. The digital recorder shall provide exportable system and event log files which may also be viewed and searched by date in the software interface.

54. The digital recorder shall provide a Live Digital Zoom function for IP cameras that allows the operator to zoom in and out of a live picture.

1.02 RECORDING CAPABILITIES

1. The digital recorder shall be able to record images continuously, upon motion detection, and according to a time schedule.

2. The digital recorder shall provide a schedule from which the operator may choose whether the system will record based upon motion detection or continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

3. The digital recorder shall accept special day preprogramming so recording schedules may be adjusted around holidays and/or special day events.

4. The digital recorder shall have intensive recording. This will allow the digital recorder to begin recording or boost recording speed based on sensor or motion detection.

5. The digital recorder shall be capable of automatically adjusting its recording resolutions and recording rates upon the activation of sensor input and/or motion detection.

6. The digital recorder shall have the ability to instant record any camera by simply double left clicking on the camera from the main screen.

30194AB 7. The Digital Recorder shall allow configuration per video input of the resolution, codec, quality, sensitivity, and number of images per second each camera will record.

8. The digital recorder shall be capable of recording in either NTSC or PAL format. The video on the 240E SH model shall have a compressed image size of 320x240 pixels using an average of 3KB of hard disk space per image at a normal quality setting. The video on the 240E SH model shall have a compressed image size of 640x240 pixels options using an average of 6KB of hard disk space per image at a medium quality setting. The video on the 240E SH model shall have a compressed image size of 640x480 pixels option using an average of 11KB of hard disk space per image at a high quality setting.

9. The digital recorder shall have pre and post alarm/motion recording. A pre-alarm recording feature shall be available to record up to 60 seconds of video prior to motion being detected. Furthermore a post- alarm recording feature shall be available to record up to 255 seconds of video after motion has left the motion grid.

10. The digital recorder shall have the ability to playback recorded video on the main screen by simply clicking the middle mouse scroll button.

11. The digital recorder shall have the ability to automatically adjust for Daylight Savings Time changes, with no loss of video when the hour jumps forward or back.

12. The Digital Recorder shall allow an operator to flag video clips distributed across multiple cameras. This feature will allow the operator to back up all clips from multiple cameras in one operation from the backup menu screen. The feature will allow the operator to add a memo to each video clip for review at a later date.

13. The digital recorder shall be capable of recording up to 30PPS on a single channel in an environment where all channels are being utilized. The operator shall have the ability to assign each channel a specific recording rate varying from 1 to 30PPS. The Digital Recorder shall support the following recording resolution and frame rate configurations:

Resolution CCTV 240E PPS Model 320x240 1CIF 240 PPS 640x240 2CIF 240 PPS 640x480 4CIF 120 PPS

14. The operator shall be able to globally assign a recording resolution ranging from 320x240 to 640x480 on the 240E SH model.

15. The operator shall be able to backup video to any network attached storage device in its proprietary format, JPG format, or AVI format.

1.03 SEARCH FEATURES

1. The digital recorder shall include the ability to search by using fast forward or rewind. Using the feature the operator shall be able to search frame by frame using any number of cameras and have the ability to speed up or slow down the speed of playback using a slow/fast slide bar.

2. The digital recorder shall include an index search. Using this feature the operator shall be able to search through previously recorded video based on motion detection, sensor trip or instant record.

3. The digital recorder shall include a preview search function. Using this feature the operator shall be able to search using a 24 hour visual overview of one single camera by separating a 24 hour period into 24 images, each one representing the first second of each hour. The operator must then have the

30194AB ability to drill down to the search to 10 minute increments and then 1 minute increments by simple double left clicking on a displayed image.

4. The digital recorder shall include a panorama search function. Using this feature the operator shall be able to search one camera frame-by-frame using a 16 image grid.

5. The digital recorder shall include an object or post motion (forensic) search. Using this feature the operator shall be able to search through previously recorded video for motion within an operator defined field.

6. The digital recorder shall include a status search. Using this feature the operator shall be able to see a single camera on the screen and, using a split view, view each frame sequentially side by side.

7. The digital recorder shall include a POS search function, if POS is enabled, providing the ability to search a segment of video based upon register, type of sale, amount of refund, clerk, time and/or item, as well as numerous other transaction variables. The operator must have the ability to view the recorded details both locally and remotely.

8. The digital recorder shall include a Video Analytics search function, if analytics is enabled, providing the ability to search recorded data based on analytics events.

9. The digital recorder shall have the ability to search recorded video on the main screen by simply clicking the middle mouse scroll button and selecting rewind and fast forward options.

10. The digital recorder shall provide simultaneous playback viewing while recording live images, and backing up recorded images in true multiplex operation.

11. Must be able to view live video from a remote handheld device including Apple, Android and Blackberry mobile phones.

1.04 REMOTE SOFTWARE(S)

1. The digital recorder shall come with remote software and multi-site management software free of charge.

2. The Digital Recorder Manufacturer shall provide additional copies of remote and multi-site software via the web at no additional charge.

3. The Digital Recorder Manufacturer shall provide upgrades to Remote and Multi-Site Management software free of charge during the product warranty period.

4. The remote software shall provide the user with most of the functions that the user has locally, including administration privileges. The administrator shall also be able to add, delete, or update users when connected to the system remotely.

5. Multi-Site software must be able to perform remote health check of all systems connected monitoring hard drive status, recording status, and video loss.

6. The digital recorder shall be remotely upgradeable via an internet or dialup connection.

7. The remote software shall use the same user accounts that the digital recorder uses locally.

8. The multi-site software shall be able to support multiple digital recorder connections simultaneously and control the digital recorders using a single PC workstation with appropriate network connectivity.

9. The multi-site remote software shall be capable of supporting up to 4 monitors.

10. The multi-site software shall be capable of displaying up to 128 cameras in live view.

30194AB 11. The Remote and Multi-Site Software must be capable of exporting avi video and jpeg images - with a digital signature.

12. The multi-site remote software shall be able to create custom interactive maps and incorporate cameras and/or sensors to locations on the map, link multiple maps, use linked internet maps (Google, Etc).

13. The Multi-Site software shall be able to backup video data in proprietary format, AVI and/or JPEG.

14. The operator, using administrator privileges, shall be capable of administering the systems by remotely making changes to any setup options with the only exception of communications settings.

15. Must have remote interface capability using a handheld device including Apple, Android and Blackberry mobile phones and provide live view, and PTZ control.

16. The digital recorder shall be capable of automatically transferring live images via TCP/IP to an emergency client workstation in the event a sensor is activated. The emergency agent software shall be capable of automatically opening without assistance from the operator.

1.05 REPORTSTAR INTEGRATION

1. The digital recorder shall come with the ability to connect to the ReportStar cloud based service.

2. The ReportStar Service shall provide email and SMS critical alert notifications for events that occur on the digital recorder.

3. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to report on SMART Hard Drive events.

4. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to report on Video Loss events.

5. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to report on Video Encoding errors (Pro Series Only).

6. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to report on Sensor inputs.

7. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to report when the digital recorder has not reported to the ReportStar service within 24 hours.

8. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to report when the digital recorder has been unexpectedly restarted (Pro Series Only).

9. The ReportStar Service shall have the ability to send automated reports by email daily, weekly, or monthly. The reports will contain a compiled rollup of information collected during the reporting period including critical events, average recording duration and day/night images.

10. The ReportStar service shall have a report that shows daily day and night images for each camera connected to the digital recorder.

11. The ReportStar service shall have a report that shows the average recording duration on the digital recorder.

12. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to connect to the web interface of each digital recorder for viewing video.

13. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to allow unlimited number of user accounts with carrying permission levels.

14. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to add an unlimited number of supported OpenEye digital recorders and associate each to a Subscriber (end-user) account.

30194AB 15. The ReportStar service shall have the ability to create unique custom portals for each Subscriber.

2.01 WARRANTY

1. The digital recorder shall come with a minimum 3 year manufacturers warranty with the 1st year including advance replacement service. Each unit shall have the purchase option to upgrade the warranty period up to 5 years and 2 years of advance replacement service.

2. The digital recorder shall come with an extensive support service structure, including a 1-800 number for technical service, pre and post sales assistance, direct points of contact, and access to online technical support as well as online sales support.

3. Technical support shall be available for 24 hours per day 7 days per week to all integrators and dealers free of charge.

3.1 SUPPORTED MODELS

The digital recorder shall be one of the following models or an approved equivalent:
