RALLY CLASSES 2017 – INTERMEDIATE EXHIBITION (up to 2 entries per club competitors to be 17 years and over and 21 years and under on 1st September 2016)

32 ART Competitor to produce a pencil drawing of a famous land mark from around the world. Mounted on A4 card.

33 TEAM COOKERY Team of two to make and display a picnic for two from around the world (not UK). To consist of four items and a drink. Recipes and country displayed. To be judged on taste and display. Food items to be covered. Display space allowed 60x60 cm.

34 INDIVIDUAL COOKERY Competitor to make and display an exotic fruit cake. Recipe details displayed. To be judged on taste, texture and display. Cake to be covered.

35 METALWORK Competitor to make and display an indoor log rack. Photographic evidence of production to be displayed.

36 WOODWORK Competitor to design, make and display a wooden wall clock theme from Around the world. Photographic evidence of production to be displayed.

37 COMPUTER POSTER Competitor to produce a poster on A4 to promote an event for their club.

38 NEEDLECRAFT Competitor to design make and display a top that can be worn from a country around the world. To be judged on design and needlecraft.

39 PHOTOGRAPHY Competitor to display one photograph maximum size 5” x 7” depicting a rain theme. Mounted on A5 card.

40 CREATIVE WRITING Competitor to produce a poem about conservation. Mounted on A4 card.

41 HOME GROWN CRESS Competitor to create an animal model making use of home grown cress. INTERMEDIATE PRACTICAL EXHIBITION AREA

42 FLOWER ARRANGING Theme – Your passport to Adventure, What will your discovery be? Competitor to produce an exhibit to depict your dream YFC travel trip from 2017 programme. Country to be stated. Maximum display space 60cm deep x 60 cm wide. No height limit. Display to be made in front of the judge. Time allowed 1 hour. National rules apply.

43 FUN CLASS Boy to prepare a girls hair and face for a festival. Competitor to provide accessories. Time allowed 20 mins.

44 FIRST AID Competitor to carry out tasks as directed by the judge.

45 MALTESER EATING Competitor to eat as many maltesers as possible in a given time using chop sticks provided.

46 FILLET AND PREPARE A FISH Competitor to fillet and prepare a fish, fish provided. Competitor to provide own equipment. White coats to be worn.

47 DECORATE A ROCK Competitor to decorate a rock of their choosing. All materials to be supplied by competitor.

48 COCKTAIL Competitor to produce an exotic cocktail recipe to be displayed. To be judged on taste and appearance. Competitor to supply all equipment and ingredients. No electric provided. Max time allowed 20 mins. Only over 18yrs may use alcohol.

49 IDENTIFICATION Competitor to identify British breeds of Sheep and Pigs

INTERMEDIATE PRACTICAL CLASSES - MAIN RALLY Members to be 17 years and over and under 21 years on 1st September 2016 – up to 2 entries per class.

50 NATURE TRAIL Competitor to identify plants and trees on a nature trail and answer questions.

51 MINI DIGGER SKILLS Competitor to perform a number of skills around a prescribed course. Must hold a full driving licence and show document to the judge on the day. INTERMEDIATE PRACTICAL CLASSES – MINI RALLY

White coats to be worn for all stock judging classes

52 HORSE KNOWLEDGE Competitor to carry out a range of tasks as directed by the judge.

53 PIG JUDGING Competitor to judge and place 4 animals. Verbal reasons to be given to the judge.

54 BEEF JUDGING Competitor to judge and place 4 animals. Verbal reasons to be given to the judge.

55 DAIRY JUDGING Competitor to judge and place 4 animals. Verbal reasons to be given to the judge.

56 SHEEP JUDGING Competitor to judge and place 4 animals. Verbal reasons to be given to the judge.

57 GUN HANDLING Competitor to answer questions and carry out tasks as directed by the judge. Competitor must hold a shotgun certificate to be produced on the day. Gun to be provided by the judge.

58 TRACTOR HANDLING Competitor to drive a tractor and four wheel trailer around a prescribed course. Copy of driving licence or tractor licence to be shown to the judge on the day.

59 YOUNG STOCKMAN Competitor will be required to judge and give reasons on 3 rings of stock and answer a questionanaire.
