IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

Meetings

The Business Owner’s Ministry will meet on Monday, April 2nd, at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This meeting will be an educational seminar on Small Business Tax Preparation – Any Church member who needs information on filing taxes for your home office or small business is invited. Deacon George Prude of Tax Help will give the presentation.

Church -Wide Programs

Revival Services: The Pastor will be the guest evangelist for Revival Services at the West Mastin Lake Baptist Church during the week of April 2-4, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. nightly. The Union Chapel Gospel Choir will furnish the song service on Monday evening and the Church Choir (Mass Choir) will furnish the song service on Wednesday evening. The Deacons and ushers are requested to be on their respective posts on Monday and Wednesday.

Bible Study: The weekly evening Bible Study Class will begin at 6:30 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m.

Easter Production: The Drama Ministry will present the 2007 Easter Production, “ JESUS: God, Savior and Lord…Voices from the Past Reaching Out to You,” at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2007, in the Main Sanctuary.

Easter Sunday Services: Early Sunrise Service will be held at 6:00 a.m. The 7:45 a.m. worship service and the 10:45 a.m. worship services will be held as usual. Communion will be served at all three worship services and baptism will be observed during the Sunday School hour.

Revival Services: A one-night only Deliverance and Restoration Revival Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2007. Pastor Michael V. Norris of the Zion Baptist Church in Brunswick , Georgia will be the guest evangelist. The Mass Choir (Church Choir) will provide the song service.

Music Ministry: The Union Chapel Music Ministry is in the process of forming a Church Orchestra. If you are a gifted instrumentalist willing to volunteer your time and experience in the ministry, please complete the interest form located at the Welcome Center and leave the completed form in the envelope labeled “Orchestra”.

Memorial Day Trip: The final payment is due today. For further information, please contact Bro. Orish Carter.

Laymen/Brotherhood: The Laymen Brotherhood NE District Breakfast will be held at Union Chapel on Saturday, April 14, 2007, in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 8:00 a.m. The worship service will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Laymen/Brotherhood: The Walter Cade Jr. Southwest Regional Laymen Workshop will be held July 27-29, 2007, in Jackson, MS. The Regency Hotel and Conference Center located at 400 Greymont Avenue in Jackson, MS will serve as the headquarters. The weekend events will begin on Friday, July 27, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. The focus for Friday night will be on the youth. The housing forms for this workshop are available at the Welcome Center. Please complete the registration form and make payment to Deacon Richard Showers, Sr., Bro. Craig Barrett or Bro. Derrick Williams. For additional information, please contact either of the aforementioned names. The last day to accept payments is June 1.

Youth Programs

Tutorial Program: The Union Chapel Tutorial Program will begin again on Wednesday, April 4th, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the Tutorial Room. Tutoring is offered to all students grades K-12.

Availability of Scholarships: There are several scholarship opportunities posted on the Church Announcement Board today.

Summer Camp: The Union Chapel Christian Academy Summer Camp (Camp Ambassador) is accepting applications for workers. We are looking for workers 25 and older with either teaching experience or recreational experience. We will hire 7 workers in these positions. We will also hire 2 college students as support staff. And lastly, we will hire 4 helpers ages 15-17 to further assist. Camp Ambassador is also accepting applications for student enrollment ages 6-12 in the Academy Office. Please pick up applications for employment in the Church Office and pick up applications for enrollment in the Academy Office.

Christian Academy Enrollment: The Academy will also begin accepting student enrollment applications for grades Kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2007-2008 School Year. The applications will be available in the Academy Office through April 30th. General Information

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR BIBLE IS?: Members and visitors, please check the Church Announcement Board for the lost Bibles list. If you know someone on the lost Bible list, please contact the person so they can claim their Bible. After 30 days, Bibles will be donated to others. For further information, please contact Sis. Mary Slack. Note: Please write your name and telephone number in your Bible so it can be returned to you if you misplace it. If your telephone number is unlisted, please write your name in your Bible.

The Union Chapel Church Library is open every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.

Sick List and Bereavements: All members are requested to please report hospitalizations and bereavements to the Church Office as soon as possible.
