Born in Tripoli Lebanon in 1942. Came to the US in 1962 as a student to study electronic engineering. Graduated in 1967 with a B.S. degree from California Polytechnic State University in Pomona, CA.

Married to Hanan Jneid in 1972 in Lebanon, have 2 sons and a daughter: Rabih, a Pediatric Cardiologist fellow at UCSD Children Hospital, Rida (Reed) a business and litigation lawyer, and Zeina an entertainment business lawyer.

Established in 1968-1981 electrical and electronic trading, manufacturing, and contracting business in Lebanon and in Saudi Arabia. Distributed products of major European and American manufacturers in the Middle East. Established in 1977 the first Saudi factory to assemble instrumentation panels in collaboration with General Electric, and supplied its products to ARAMCO and other Saudi companies and projects. Came back to the US with family in 1981. Started several businesses, the last of which was Tri Pole Corporation, a distributor of computer hardware, software, and nation wide maintenance to medium size companies. And Novetrix Corporation, a software developer of web-based thin-client and load balancing technology. Sold this business to Novell in 2001.

President of the Organization of Arab Students, based in Pasadena in 1965. President of the Lebanese American Foundation, established in 2000 to build the House of Lebanon.
