Please explain. No. Kern County has received an ‘F; for the number of RN jobs per 100,000 population (California Institute for Nursing & Health Care (CINHC)(2011 Executive Summary). There is an expected 10.7% job growth in the next 10 years due to growth and replacement. The current number of educational entities in this region are not meeting the workplace needs. How often do/will you re-examine the effectiveness of certificate requirements? (curriculum review) Every 2 years or more often if indicated. Based on your results, what changes could you make in your program to meet or continue to exceed your target (such as course content, scheduling/sequence, outreach, instructional strategies)? The program has modified the curriculum content and course sequencing (effective 2017) in an effort to improve on time completion. (On time completion refers to students who start and finish the program in 4 semesters.) The number of completions has decreased significantly in 2015/16. The program will need to look closely at internal data to determine a cause for the decrease in awards. Because of the process for re-admitting students who were not successful, it may be difficult to determine if this is a trend.
