(9am – 5pm Mon to Thu, 9am – 4pm Fri, with 1 hour for lunch Mon and 45 mins Hours Tue – Fri)

Evening and weekend work will be required out with the normal working hours.

Job Purpose

As a key member of the Fundraising Team, the role of Partnerships Fundraiser will work to develop corporate fundraising activity for Glasgow Children’s Hospital and will further develop any events initiated by our corporate partners. Working within the wider fundraising team, you will be responsible for providing support to and reporting to the Partnership Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities Fundraising  To maximise income from corporate fundraising and to take responsibility for the development of both existing and new income streams within the corporate fundraising remit, ensuring corporate donors receive all the support that they require.  To be the first point of contact for all corporate fundraising enquiries, and to arrange follow up meetings where necessary.  To provide administrative support to corporate donors.  To initiate and implement suitable fundraising ideas and mechanisms to ensure income targets are met.  To ensure that the needs and expectations of existing and potential corporate donors are met in order to maximise fundraising income.  To account manage new and existing corporate donors as agreed by the Partnership Development Manager.  To work with the Partnership Development Manager to research and identify prospective new corporate partners and to devise and present proposals to recruit them.  To work with the wider fundraising team to identify suitable projects and targets for corporate partners to fundraise towards.  To work with the Partnership Development Manager and Sponsorship & Corporate Fundraiser to secure sponsorship for key charity events.  To promote payroll giving to companies and their staff.  To provide appropriate support to companies who are organising high profile fundraising events.  To work with the Events Co-ordinator to promote and sell high profile fundraising events aimed at a corporate audience, to both new and existing corporate partners.  To work with the wider fundraising team to cross promote other fundraising activities and events to corporate partners.  To secure gifts in kind from corporate partners.  To work with the Marketing and Communications Team to ensure all corporate partnerships receive appropriate acknowledgement and accreditation for their support.  Any other relevant duties as may be required by the Partnership Development Manager. Corporate Volunteers  To ensure the corporate volunteer database is communicated to on a regular basis with the latest volunteering opportunities  To monitor engagement levels with corporate volunteer leads, ensuring the latest charity news is communicated  To obtain and process the relevant corporate volunteer paperwork prior to volunteering date  To ensure all relevant health and safety documents are completed and shared with all parties prior to the volunteering date  To promote corporate volunteering to new and existing corporate supporters  If required, to provide on the day support to volunteers supporting Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

 To be committed and adhere to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity’s vision, mission and values.  To attend relevant internal and external meetings, contributing to the planning and development process and participating in relevant projects as required.  To manage the needs of existing and potential donors and supporters and to manage the development of relationships with key donors and supporters.  To represent Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity at internal/ external cheque presentations and events with these not necessarily taking place during core working hours.  To give presentations on the work of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity as required.  Being confident in the use of our database and maximising its use and potential.  To follow up on any leads which will help to raise public awareness of the work of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity  To identify and address issues of concern within the voluntary sector that may impact on Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity  To maintain and develop good working relationships with other members of the organisation.  To maintain and develop good working relationships with volunteers working with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity  To maintain and develop good relationships with wards, departments and key individuals within the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow and NHSGGC.  To ensure best practice for cultivation and stewardship of donors and potential donors is implemented in line with the Institute of Fundraising Codes of Practice, charity law and OSCR.  To strengthen, whilst protecting its reputation, the awareness and perception of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity  Any other relevant duties as may be required by the Partnership Development Manager

Person Specification

Essential Desirable Experience in corporate fundraising or in a corporate sales/business development environment Experience of the Raiser’s Edge Database with the proven ability to meet and exceed financial targets Familiarity of the work of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Evidence of ability to develop relationships. Charity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of budget management. Ability to make formal and informal presentations. Experience of managing events Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to take initiative and to plan and manage conflicting priorities. Strong links with Scottish business community. Highly competent user of MS Office, social media and databases. Positive attitude and determination to succeed. Strong team player. Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle. Willingness to drive a van on occasion
