The purpose of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation is to allow the community to meet the needs of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center patients through charitable contributions. The Foundation supports all of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s departments and programs. A special campaign called Denim ‘N Diamonds is held annually. The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors annually pledges the proceeds from Denim ‘N Diamonds to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for the purchase of state-of- the-art healthcare equipment. The 2013 campaign goal is to raise $200,000 and proceeds will support the purchase of Digital Radiography Equipment for our Pediatric patients. The world of medicine if often confusing for adults, it is downright frightening for young children. Getting an x-ray taken is often a challenging process because young people frequently don’t understand how important it is to hold very still during the process. As a result, repeated x-ray photographs must be taken, the film developed, and read in order to show clearly where an injury is located and its severity. Modern digital radiography has been demonstrated to provide great benefits for our young patients by simplifying the entire x-ray process and saving time. CRMC Foundation wants to help make digital radiography a reality here at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Denim ‘N Diamonds Honorary Chairs are chosen from outstanding community leaders who are willing to lend their integrity and leadership to the event. This year we have selected Brent Weigner and Sue Hume. The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Employee Committee supports the campaign by hosting a variety of events designed especially for employees. The Employee contributions have grown from $1,000 to $10,000. Through these employee events, we are able to increase morale, get to know one another better, have fun and make a sizable contribution to healthcare in Laramie County.
