POSITION PURPOSE To build a healthy ministry team and develop programs that reach, disciple and empower Deaf and hard of hearing teenagers in one ministry location under a YFC Chapter ESTIMATED PERCENTAGE OF TIME ESSENTIAL DUTIES

8 HOURS LEADERSHIP: leadership recruitment, equipping, and supervision

1. Continuously pursue appropriate volunteer leaders for the ministry site 2. Conduct regular meetings with leaders for the purposes of training, planning and supervision 3. Create and maintain safe ministry environments for students in DTQ through knowing, following communicating and all DTQ policies and procedures 4 HOUR 4. Provide accountability for safe ministry conduct by all adults in contact with students

MANAGEMENT: ministry oversight, administration and accountability

1. Emails/newsletters to provide ministry supporters/partners ministry updates in accordance with chapter policy 4 HOUR 2. Document all necessary information to Youth for Christ through IMPACT 3. Plan and assist in fundraising activities for students to raise funds for trips 4. Be in regular communication with the chapter Executive Director for oversight and program funding

1. Pursue an ongoing, deep, authentic connection to Jesus Christ through daily quiet time and involvement in a local church fellowship 2. Attend at least one conference/retreat for personal, relational or spiritual growth annually 3. Meet with a mentor or small group on at least a monthly basis

PROGRAMS: direct involvement in structured or unstructured ministry activities

1. Intentionally connect with lost, hurting, and unchurched teens through the RMA”s (Relational Ministry Actions) using the 3Story® model 2. Organize and coordinate students and leaders for retreats, camps, and mission trips 3. Bring students to retreats, camps and mission trips at least once a year 4. Represent YFC/DTQ appropriately throughout the community

FUNDRAISING All YFC regular full time employees will be given the opportunity to be involved in RESPONSIBILITIES the Stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These opportunities could include fund raising events, circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, and other opportunities as provided.

MISSIONAL Widespread Prayer – We deliberately engage lots of Christians to intercede on behalf of the RESPONSIBILITIES ministry site Loving Relationships – We consistently pursue lost kids and engage them in life-long relationships with Jesus Faithful Bible Teaching – We accurately handle Biblical truth, regularly coaching kids to apply it in their lives Collaborative Community Strategy – We work together with local churches, agencies and other partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry Adults Who Empower – We strategically develop leaders to reach young people from every people group

ALL STAFF are expected to complete the online YFC orientation, DTQ Roadmap, and attend YFC regional conferences. PAID STAFF are required to serve in one national/regional DTQ event annually: Project Serve, camps, and missions. Also required of paid staff are YFC regional conferences, MidWinter, DTQ-specific training and completion of the YFC Blueprint.
