Agency: Community College System Project: Funds approved to finance emergency and minor projects at various Community Colleges (BI-CTC-9000). Statutory authority and amount: P.A. 07-7, Sec. 2(s)(1)(A) $650,000.

Agency: Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station Project: Funds approved to finance a roof replacement and exterior repairs to the Osborne Library and exterior repairs to the Johnson-Horsfall Building at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven (BI-P-85). Statutory authority and amount: P.A. 07-7, Sec. 2(g)(1) $83,000. S.A. 05-1, Sec. 21(d)(2) Previous funding 62,000. Federal funds 65,000. Total $210,000.

Agency: Department of Correction Project: Funds approved to finance renovations and improvements at various correctional facilities (BI-JA-1000). Work includes an upgrade of the security camera system at the West Compound, York Correctional Institution in Niantic, and emergency/minor capital projects as needed. Statutory authority and amount: P.A. 00-167, Sec. 2(e) $750,000.

Agency: Department of Developmental Services Project: Funds approved to finance improvements at various Department of Developmental Services facilities (BI-NN-1000). Work includes the design of group home for six residents in Putnam, interior and exterior improvements and fire safety upgrades at residential facilities statewide, renovations and improvements to office space at 61 Woodland Street in Hartford, and emergency/minor capital projects as needed. Statutory authority and amount: P.A. 07-7, Sec. 2(p) $1,140,000.

Work includes designing new sprinkler systems in various shops, designing a new softball field, and floor and ventilation improvements at Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in Torrington; designing vehicle services garage floor repairs, and underground fuel storage improvements at Platt in Milford; designing elevator upgrades, and gym floor and HVAC improvements at Bullard Havens in Bridgeport; designing a new softball field, and HVAC improvements at Windham in Willimantic; plumbing improvements at Bristol; classroom improvements at Ella Grasso in Groton; drainage improvements at Vinal in Middletown; and emergency/minor capital projects as needed. Agency: Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Project: Funds approved to finance renovations and improvements at various state- owned facilities (BI-MH-1000). Work includes renovating bathrooms at the Capital Region Mental Health Center in Hartford; installing corridor handrails, and designing garage repairs at the Greater Bridgeport Community Mental Health Center; construction of a new pharmacy at Page Hall, upgrading the electrical system at the Cotter Building, replacing windows at Dutton Home, all at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown. Work includes replacing the fire alarm control panels at 410-470 Capitol Avenue in Hartford; replacing the fire alarm system at 24 Wolcott Hill Road in Wethersfield; chimney repairs at 200 Folly Brook Boulevard in Wethersfield; upgrading the fire alarm system at OCME, 11 Shuttle Road in Farmington; roadway improvements at the Uncas-on-Thames Campus in Norwich; and emergency/minor capital projects as needed. Agency: Judicial Branch Project: Funds approved to award a construction contract for structural and other repairs to the Lafayette Street garage in Hartford (BI-JD-254). The garage serves the Hartford Superior Court. Statutory authority and amount: P.A. 07-7, Sec. 2(w)(6) $2,779,120.

Agency: Judicial Branch Project: Funds approved to finance alterations and improvements at various Judicial facilities (BI-JD-1000). Works includes designing a fire alarm system, ceilings, lighting, HVAC improvements, parapet repairs, and roof repairs at 231 Capitol Avenue in Hartford; designing renovations for the lower level at 80 Washington Street in Hartford; a roof replacement at 155 Church Street in Putnam; upgrading the HVAC 235 Church Street in New Haven and at 17 Belden Avenue in Norwalk; exterior re-caulking at 400 Grand Street in Waterbury; and emergency/minor capital projects as needed. To design a new Quinebaug Valley Middle College High School in Danielson, CT. The new facility will be a state-of-the-art inter-district magnet school (grades 10 – 12) and is expected to enroll 225 students within five years. The building will be an addition to the existing college and will be designed to meet LEED Silver Certification. The new and renovated space will total 50,150 square feet. The total estimated construction cost is $17,902,449.
