GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTERS AND DISCUSSANTS

In order to make the Workshop sessions as stimulating and effective as possible, paper presenters are invited to observe the following guidelines.

Papers are presented in six sessions. We will run two parallel sessions at a time. Each session will normally have four or five papers. Sessions will start sharply at the time previously announced in the programme. Presenters will have up to 15 minutes to present their papers in the sessions with 4 papers and up to 12 minutes in the sessions with 5 papers, with another 5 minutes allowed for discussion. The Chair will take care that no paper will exceed the overall time limit of 20 minutes. The Chair will also provide an introductory discussion based upon the presentations. All speakers are also invited to read the other papers which are going to be presented in their session so that they may contribute to the general discussion.

Each session discussant is kindly asked to provide a five-minute discussion of each single paper that is to be presented in the session in which he/she has accepted to act as discussants. The discussant will normally intervene at the end of each presentation. Then, the Chair is expected to ask the floor for questions and comments and guide the discussion.

In all rooms speakers will find a beamer for PowerPoint presentations and a projector for slide presentations. All papers will be uploaded on the EIASM dedicated Website as soon as they are available.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon in beautiful Madrid Carlos III!
