Plano East Marching Festival Schedule

PLANO EAST MARCHING FESTIVAL SCHEDULE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2009

12:45pm Meet at Memorial Stadium for rehearsal. You will need to be in partial uniform- white t-shirt, band pants, black shoes and socks for this rehearsal. There will not be time to change before we leave or when we get to Plano. Eat lunch before you arrive for rehearsal.

2:00pm End rehearsal, load truck, load buses.

2:30pm Depart for Plano Clark Stadium. Your wonderful band chaperons have prepared snacks and drinks for each and every one of you to have on the way to Plano.

3:15pm Arrive at Clark Stadium, unload, get ready for warm-up.

3:45pm Warm-up. 4:30pm PRELIMS PERFORMANCE!!!!!

4:45pm End performance, get picture made, go back into stadium to await prelims results.

5:15pm Prelims Awards Ceremony. Wait till we find out our Finals performance time, go back to buses, change (make sure you have shorts on underneath your uniforms), hang your uniforms up- don’t wad them up, eat supper (a delicious gourmet hot dog prepared especially for you!), change into uniforms, get ready for warm- up and Finals Performance. 7:00pm Finals begin.

10:00pm Awards Ceremony.

10:45pm Load buses, depart for Memorial Stadium.

11:45pm Arrive at Memorial, only drivers of cars get off to get their cars, we all go back to PHS to unload. Your parents will need to pick you up at PHS at around 12:00 midnight or so. ------

Items needed:

1. Your instrument and everything you need to make it work---- valve oil, reeds, slide oil, sticks, mallets, etc.

2. Your tote bag or a travel/hanging bag ( not the one issued with your uniform!) of some kind for your uniform and your change of clothes. Bring something that you can slip on over your t-shirt and shorts. You will be changing on the buses and not at the restrooms. Make sure your name is clearly marked on your bag as well as anything else that belongs to you!

3. You may bring a bag or sack for snacks if you want to bring some. You will be allowed to go to the concession stand while we are watching other bands perform.

4. Bring money for snacks, drinks, souvenirs, etc.....
