1. Why are you interested in serving on the IMA Board?

2. How would you describe contributions you would make to the IMA Board if selected to serve?

3. Do you hold a CMA Certificate?

4. Why have you decided to become certified?

5. If you are not certified, please explain why you have elected not to earn the CMA certification or if you are in the process of earning your certification?

6. What leadership positions if any, have you held at the chapter, council and/or global level and when? If you require additional space, please attach a word document to this form.

7. Have you ever been involved with other non-profit boards?

8. Are you familiar with strategic and budget planning processes?

9. Are you committed to serving a two-year term beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2019? Board members are required to attend 3 meetings plus one training session each year. Board members are also required to serve on a Board Committee? Board Committees meet via teleconference once a month and face-to-face the Fridays before Board meetings.

Note, members are responsible to pay their own travel expenses including airfare, meals, ground transportation and hotel. Members may be reimbursed up to $400 per meeting when the meeting is held within the region where they reside and may be reimbursed up to $1,500 per meeting when they travel to meetings held outside the region where they reside. IMA will process reimbursements on an “accountable” basis, i.e., upon submission of substantiation of actual expenses, sufficient to satisfy the requirements in Treas. Reg. 1.62-2 (e), up to the stated limits. IMA makes every effort to select reasonably priced hotels to ensure travel costs are kept to a minimum. Depending on the meeting location, the price of a one-night-hotel stay ranges from $200 to $230 per night, but may go as high as $280 per night.
