Earth Issues:
Tuesday, February 20- Learn about the Luce Semester 12 noon-1:00 in HUB side room 201-202 Students will present on their experience concerning environmental issues in the Chesapeake Bay and Lower Mississippi Watersheds. This integrated field course will be offered again in the Fall of 2007, so come on out to learn more about it!
Tuesday, February 27- Introduction to Land Use Planning 12 noon-1:00 in HUB side room 201-202 Cumberland County Planning Director, Kirk Stoner, will discuss how planning works at the local level and the impact of this work on environmental concerns including watersheds and agriculture.

The Greenpeace Organizing Term This is an action-packed semester of travel and training. It's a hands-on training program that gives you the skills to be an environmental leader. You'll learn about current environmental issues and solutions and you'll get trained by the experts in grassroots organizing, leadership, media, and campaign strategy. You'll travel abroad with Greenpeace to work with international activists. Many students are also able to receive class credit for the semester. http://www.greenpeace.org/got

Penn Environment Campaign Action Teams They are hiring recent college graduates for campaign organizer positions with our partner state environmental groups around the country. The Campaign Action Team joins a two-month environmental campaign, jumping right into media outreach, coalition-building, grassroots outreach, lobbying, fundraising, and more.
