BRAINTREE DISTRICT COUNCIL – CONSTRUCTION CONSULTANCY 4 YEAR FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT

CONTRACT REFERENCE KAS/02/07

Introduction On 1ST February 2008 Braintree District Council let a framework agreement for the provision of consultancy services for construction-based projects to the following company:

NPS South East Ltd

This framework agreement was advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and complies with relevant EU procurement regulations. The above company was selected following a formal tender and evaluation process.

The framework is for a period of 4 years with regular reviews.

Who can call on the Agreement? This agreement is available to all Public Sector authorities.

Scope of the Agreement The framework agreement covers consultancy for the following construction disciplines:

Lot 1 Architectural and Building Design Services (including tender preparation and project management)

Lot 2 Building Services Engineering (mechanical and electrical services design including tender preparation and project management)

Lot 3 Building Surveying Services (including tender preparation and project management)

Lot 4 Structural Engineering (including design, tender preparation and project management)

Lot 6 CDM Project Coordinator Services

In addition to being able to provide services applicable to each of the above disciplines, NPS South East Ltd is also able, under this framework agreement, to act as Lead Consultant and provide Project Management Services.

Detailed information regarding the duties NPS South East Ltd is able carry out for each of these disciplines have been broken down into the RIBA work stages and are available upon request.

Pricing Pricing under this framework agreement is fixed subject to annual review between Braintree District Council and NPS South East Ltd.

Prices for each of the disciplines have been provided for a number of project value ranges and there are options for fixed fee and percentage fee proposals.

The pricing and details provided under this agreement are commercially confidential and should not be divulged to any third party. In particular, prices should under no circumstances be shared with other suppliers in an attempt to improve the price, or for any other reason.

How to use the Agreement When initially approaching NPS South East under this framework agreement public sector bodies must quote the framework agreement reference number KAS/02/07.

Public Sector Bodies using the agreement should confirm their requirements with NPS South East Ltd, and agree on particulars such as project timescales prior to placing an order/contract.

When placing an order/contract with NPS South East Ltd public sector bodies must quote the framework agreement reference number KAS/02/07.

Failure to quote the framework reference number when initially contacting NPS South East Ltd or when placing an order/contract may lead to your organisation being in breach of EU Procurement Regulations.

The terms and conditions applicable to any supply contracts let under this framework agreement are available upon request.
