Summary of Revisions: I am suggesting deleting all these examples because I don’t think they are needed for this instruction, and many of them may actually be confusing here because choice among different forms of the same name is covered in 9.2.2.5, which explains why “D.W. Griffith” is the preferred form instead of “David Wark Griffith.” There are several good examples at the appropriate instructions within 9.2.2.5 so I don’t think any additional examples are needed there. I also think the example box is in a bad place because it’s underneath a reference to 9.2.2.6-9.2.2.8. If these examples were to be retained, they would need to be revised because many of them are incorrect (e.g. Sister Mary Hilay is preferred name plus title of religious vocation).
