Class: Developmental Marksmanship (2-days) followed by: Survival Pistol for the Female Officer (2-days)

Date: September 14-17, 2009 Time: 8:30am-5:30pm Location: Myrtle Beach PD Training Facility 3340 Mustang St. Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 Class Size: Limited to 20 students Cost: $275.00 for 2-days of training, $500.00 for combining all 4-days. Marty Brown at (843) 918-1802 [email protected] Purpose: Developmental Marksmanship: The purpose of this class is to improve female officer shooting performance through classroom exercises, partner skill-building drills as well as intensive range work. At the end of this class, the pistol operator will have a much higher level of understanding of the weapon system and her ability to deliver it with accuracy. Requirements: Attendees are required to bring 400 rounds of pistol ammunition, body armor, brimmed hat, eye protection and full duty gear.

Purpose: Survival Pistol: The purpose of this class is to improve the female officer’s shooting performance as it relates to surviving a lethal encounter. Through intensive range work the female pistol operator will increase their ability to deliver their pistol efficiently and effectively, particularly in the areas of shooting with speed. Focus areas include: One hand and support hand shooting, stoppage clearing and reloading, target focus shooting, and shooting with movement. Requirements: Attendees are required to bring 500 rounds of pistol ammunition, body armor, brimmed hat, wrap around eye protection, ear muffs and full duty gear. ***A water source and simple carbohydrate is highly recommended for all classes.

She is an adjunct instructor with Team One Network and an H&K Master Pistol Instructor. Lou Ann has instructed nationally including conference presentations for organizations such as: ASLET, IALEFI, ILEETA, and IPMBA. She designs and instructs classes specific to the female officer and is the co-writer of the original Calibre Press’ Street Survival for the Female Officer Seminar. Lou Ann has written articles published in the area of firearms training appearing in police publications such as: Law and Order, Police Marksman, IALEFI's "Firearms Instructor" magazine, and the IPMBA newsletter. She currently sits on IALEFI’s board of directors and serves on the advisory board for PoliceOne.com and is a consultant and presenter with Calibre Press.
