August 6 Announcements

#1) Fall Kick-Off —September 10th Mark your calendars for September 10th. Sunday School for all ages will restart that day. Then, following Sunday School, we will have a fun time of food and fellowship as a church family. Most ministries that have been off for the summer will begin after the Fall Kick-Off.

#2) Final Potluck —August 27th Our final Potluck in the Park will be at McKennan Park on August 27th at 6pm. This is an excellent time to grow together as a family of disciples. Tableware will be provided, but everyone is asked to bring an entree to share, as well as a side based on your last name (A-K = Salad/Appetizer, L-Z = Dessert).

#3) Sunday Service Opportunities If you can help in either of these ways, please contact the Church Office. Nursery: Combining into one service increases our nursery numbers. Therefore, more volunteers are needed. Please consider being a part of this important and precious ministry to our littlest ones and their parents. Children's Church: We are also in need of more volunteers to help in Children's Church (takes place during the sermon) each week during the summer.

Allergy Notice Due to severe peanut allergies in our congregation, we can absolutely have NO peanut products in our building. This applies to any day of the week and for any activity you may be attending in our building. We have attendees with fragrance allergies. We have designated the first six rows of the left section of our sanctuary (as you look at the stage) for them. If you wear fragrances, we would appreciate you avoiding that area.

First Free 411 YA Events (Young Adults Single Activity Group) Road Trip! Okoboji fun in the sun! Sunday, August 6 we will leave from Fitch's house (5704 W 53rd) at 11:15am to head up to Okoboji. Please RSVP Pam at 201-1499. Camping! Friday, September 29 until Sunday, October 1 at Newton Hills. There will be camping, hiking, biking and good fellowship. Please RSVP Pam at 201-1499.

Canaries Baseball Game! The youth group is going to the Sioux Falls Canaries game on Wednesday, August 23. Tickets are $8 a person. If interested contact Pastor Dan at [email protected].
