To qualify for the Certified Instructor Certificate you must complete the following pictures. Completed pictures are judged by the applicant’s instructor providing the instructor holds an Advanced Instructor Certificate. If the instructor is not an ACI, completed pictures can be evaluated by another ABEA member who is an ACI, Semi- Master, or Master Certificate. There is no charge for the judging. These kits are chosen because they include all the necessary stitches an instructor needs to know.

In addition teachers need to ensure that students know the stitches listed in the chart attached to this form. This list replaces the Basic 50. Stitches should be checked off and teachers should sign the pages and they should be returned with the application.

1. Applicant must attend a national ABEA seminar within 2 years prior to application.

2. Applicant must send a $25.00 processing fee with application to the ABEA President.

3. Applicant must complete one kit from each of the following categories:
