A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Martin David Warren Sr. With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Martin David Warren Sr., and we pause in silent reverence for his soul. WHEREAS, Martin David Warren Sr. was born on November 20, 1931, a native of Daviess County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on December 27, 2003; and WHEREAS, Martin David Warren Sr. was the loving son of the late John Felix and Camilla Beaven Warren; and he also was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Bickett; he was the devoted husband of 50 years to Rose Smith Warren; he was the loving father of two sons, Martin David Warren Jr. and John Bernard Warren, both of St. Joseph, and three daughters, Stephanie Warren of Floyd Knob, Indiana; Tamara Warren of Curdsville; and Melanie Ewing of Jasper, Indiana; he was the proud grandfather of Clinton, Brice and Wyatt Bickett; Lauren, Catie, Claire, Rachel, and Emily Warren; John David, Nathaniel, and Camille Warren; and Trace, Taylor, and Natalie Ewing; and he was the proud great-grandfather of three great-grandchildren; and he also leaves behind two loving brothers, Huston Warren of St. Joseph and Leroy Warren of Louisville, and a loving sister, Joyce Warren of West Louisville; and WHEREAS, Martin David Warren Sr. served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Air Force, and he was a member of VFW Post No. 696; and WHEREAS, Martin David Warren Sr. was an esteemed member of the Owensboro and Daviess County community, where he was a devout member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and where his funeral Mass was held on December 30, 2003; he was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Father Connor Council No. 6101; and he was a member of the Daviess County Lions Club; and WHEREAS, Martin David Warren Sr. served four terms as Daviess County

Commissioner, and during his tenure, he was instrumental in planning the Daviess County park system, and a major influence in the improvement and maintenance of Daviess County's roads, ditches, and bridges; and he was a life-long farmer, and formerly employed at Big Independent Tobacco Warehouse and W. R. Grace; and WHEREAS, the passing of Martin David Warren Sr. has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Martin David Warren Sr., and extends to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy. Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Martin David Warren Sr. Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Ms. Rose Smith Warren, 11696 Utopia Road, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301.
