Being creative with the wording of your tweets, images & videos, using the correct hashtags & @handles are all ways to increase visibility and engagement. Don’t try to put too much information in a tweet, use this as a tool to peak the audience’s interest and lead them to a site with more information.

Tip: To find out your character count, highlight text and select number of ‘words’ at the bottom of your document. The ‘Characters (with spaces)’ will give you an accurate twitter character count.

Note: You do not need to send three tweets, however, we suggest for upcoming events to plan tweets a couple days before.

Please note that this form is to share content on the @UofGlasgow twitter account. The Social Media team will assess if the content is fit for twitter and in some cases may direct you to more appropriate channels. If your content is suitable we may also post it on our Facebook page. Please add any photos that you would like in your tweet below, the image number should correspond to the tweet number above. Make sure that your images are .jpeg or .png and at least 440 x 220px in size. You cannot use .pdf format for tweets.
