Expectations At the end of this unit most pupils will: learn about European capitals and other towns, learn about different cultural and historical background, identify their place in Europe and find common features of different nations, compare different possibilities for travelling, learn to find different travelling routes, use different timetables, organize a trip for their family, friends, class. Pupils will be able to find pictures, views of towns and make a presentation about a certain site in Europe some pupils will not have made so much progress and will: learn about towns in Europe, find interesting information about the sites, compare different nations and cultures, find common features (click and type) some pupils will have progressed further and will: develop a detailed knowledge of the European Union, understand values and attitudes of different nations and cultures, appreciate the European impact on their lives. Identify global issues using a range of sources and discuss them.
