Congress Lake is an exclusive private country club located in the greater Cleveland/Akron/Canton metropolitan area. The Club, one of the oldest in Ohio, features sporting activities including golf, boating, sailing, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, racquet sports, and a 50,000 square foot facility with multiple dining rooms, banquet facilities, guest rooms, 2 kitchens, and other F & B outlets. $1.75M annual F & B sales (75% ala carte).

Brief Job Description:

 This position works directly with the Club’s Executive Chef managing operations of the Club’s multiple dining rooms, bars, and F & B outlets  Responsible for three different style dining rooms plus outdoor dining, poolside service, and room service  Responsible for general operation and staff supervision of the f & b outlets, pool, and housekeeping ensuring standard operating procedures are met  Management of a staff of 50  Recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation and training, scheduling, HR procedures, morale and discipline of all front of the house staff including food & beverage managers/supervisors  Implements and continually develops the club’s ongoing staff training program for all employees  Administering club’s entire POS system  Formats and creates menus in conjunction with Executive Chef  Daily sales reconciliation, daily reporting of all operational metrics for departments under his authority including all kitchen financial reports  Internal cost control of beverages, food, labor, and supplies  Purchasing of liquor, beer, wine, beverages, linen and supplies  Maintaining a high quality wine program  Promotion of dining and beverage operations including events, wine sales, entertainment, and sales  Maintains a professional image that represents The Congress Lake Club in and outside of the workplace

Candidate Qualifications:

The Club seeks a dining professional who aspires to bring the highest level of service to a discerning clientele through hands-on leadership, strategic thinking, and professional hospitality standards.  Management experience in upscale restaurants, hotels, resorts, or private clubs

 Wine knowledge necessary

 Must possess poise, sophistication, and a great sense of humor

 Must be able to handle a fast-paced, constantly changing, high-end environment.

 Candidate must possess high service standards, a great attention to detail, and time management skills

 Four year college degree preferred or significant experience

 Pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check required

Benefits:

 Salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 based upon experience
