General Aviation Slot Clearances Format
Please ensure the filing for General and Business Aviation slot applications should be strictly according to IATA SSIM format.
Here is an example:
GCR /REG VHHH NBBBB 06JUN 010GLF5 EGSS0145 0700EGGW DD SI
Notes: The first 3 lines & the last line are fixed for automatic system handling.
GCR – stands for General (Aviation) Clearance Request /REG - can type in any reference after REG – eg. REG CCCC or REF CCCC VHHH – This is the code for Hong Kong Airport SI – stands for special information end of message, can type in any additional information after this code
Please note there is no need to type in the aircraft registration twice for departure in case of pair leg slot requests.
For requests using single leg format, please ensure a space is left before the aircraft registration for departure flight:
GCR /REG VHHH N CCCC 09JUN 010GLF5 0700EGGW D NCCCC 11JUN 010GLF5 EGGW0645 D SI Special information end of message
The ICAO 4-letter airport code should be used instead of IATA 3-letter airport code. Seat numbers shall be in 3 digits
Any deviation from the format will slow down the clearance process; your cooperation will be highly appreciated.
