The Central Oklahoma Urban Area Secuirty Initiative Is Accepting Applications for Grant Funding

THE CENTRAL OKLAHOMA URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE (COUASI) IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT FUNDING

Applicants must be local governments in Canadian, Cleveland, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, and Pottawatomie Counties and must be certified as NIMS Compliant for 2009

Projects must be in support of one or more of the following areas:

. Implementation of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan

. Strengthening Information Sharing Between Jurisdictions

. Planning and Citizen Preparedness

. CBRNE Detection, Response, & Decontamination

. Interoperable Communications

. Medical Surge and Prophylaxis

. Expanded Regional Collaboration

. Training and Exercises

Projects must also follow the goals and objectives of the approved Investment Planning Worksheets of the COUASI. For more information on these worksheets contact the COUASI Project manager for your project area

Allowable equipment categories for the UASI grant program are listed on the Authorized Equipment List (AEL) accessed at http://www.rkb.mipt.org

To Apply: Complete the Application Form at the Bottom of This Announcement and submit it to the appropriate project manager

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE PROJECT MANAGER IS MARCH 1, 2010

Applications will be reviewed by the COUASI Budget Sub-Committee on March 9, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the offices of the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) 21 East Main Street, Oklahoma City
