Dear Sports Enthusiasts!

The 11th annual Brantford Sports Council Sports Recognition Banquet will take place on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Brantford Golf and Country Club, 60 Ava Rd.

Our guest speakers will be Erika Polidori and Logan White, graduates of Brantford Minor Softball. They were on the Canadian National Softball Team who won GOLD at the Pan Am Games.

NOW is the time to nominate for each of the award categories. DON’T WAIT – NOMINATE!!  Jimmy Wilkes Memorial - Team of the Year  John Macklin Memorial - Coach of the Year  Frank Bricker Memorial - Male Youth Leadership  Phyllis Gretzky Memorial - Female Youth Leadership  George Churchill Memorial - Sports Volunteer of the Year  George Jones Memorial - Lifetime Sports Volunteerism  Jack Calbeck Memorial - Sports Sponsorship Lifetime Recognition  Adrian Scherders Memorial - Sportsmanship & Dedication Award  Sports Official Recognition Award

The nomination submissions must cover any sport whose season concludes in 2015.

Attached to this letter is a copy of our nomination form for the ten awards including the Frank Tomlin Memorial Award for Sportsperson of the Year. As well, you will find the criteria for nominations for each of these awards. The deadline for these applications is January 22, 2016 .

Nominations can be filled out on our website www.brantfordsportscouncil.ca or emailed to [email protected]. Completed forms can also be delivered to Parks and Recreation at 1 Sherwood Drive. We urge you to fill in the nominations and submit them as soon as possible.
