IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Sales Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Position will design, estimate and sell SBCD cabinetry to builders, remodelers and retail customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Sales of high-end cabinet line to builder, remodelers and retail customers a. Prospect for new accounts b. Provide high levels of customer service c. Initiate and participate in SBCD involvement with appropriate shows and events d. Accountability for agreed-upon budgeted sales and gross margin targets
2. Build trust-worthy relationship with internal customer base of SBL Retail Sales Representatives
3. Plan for all sales activities with pre-determined definitions of success a. Account-specific planning b. Product line-specific planning c. Sales call-specific planning
4. Coordinate pricing and bidding process a. Create designs for jobs b. Price jobs according to pricing structure c. Communicate special pricing requests to Sales Manager d. Prepare bids in presentation form e. Present bids to customers f. Follow up with bids and close sales
5. Prepare/verify all orders a. Place, track and follow up with all orders b. Coordinate deliveries to meet customer schedules c. Facilitate service requests and needs on behalf of customers
6. Personal and professional development a. Identify skill-enhancement needs b. Seek resources and skill-building opportunities c. Work with Sales Manager on implementation of skill-building plan
7. Additional Responsibilities: a. Complete Computer Based Training as required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 1. High School Diploma or GED required 2. 3-5 yrs. custom cabinet industry experience 3. 3-5 yrs. sales/account acquisition experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 1. Outstanding customer service skills 2. Excellent communication, organizational, time management, prioritizing and confrontational skills 3. Customer and team oriented 4. Cabinet industry knowledge 5. Proven design, estimating and sales background 6. Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) a plus 7. CAD, 20/20 or other cabinet software knowledge required
ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. Office environment (mainly sedentary) 2. 25-50% travel required (job-site visits, field measures, etc.)
LICENSE(S) AND/OR CERTIFICATE(S): 1. Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
