WEST MOORS GROUP PRACTICE

PRACTICE PROFILE

The practice area includes the villages of West Moors and Three Legged Cross two miles apart.

The practice is a three partner (2 male, 1 female) training practice operating from the above 2 sites. The Partnership also employs 2 salaried doctors. The practice population is approximately 5,300 patients.

We operate from well equipped premises over the two sites and are fully computerised using EmisWeb. The branch site at Three Legged Cross has a small dispensary offering dispensing services to around 800 patients in that locality.

The practice has a full team consisting of Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager Reception team, Secretaries, Admin Staff, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants, and Phlebotomists. Attached to the surgery are also a team of Community Nurses, a Health Visiting team and a visiting Midwife. All staff are encouraged to extend their roles through further training.

The Practice offers a full range of services including:

Routine, Emergency & Preventative care. Contraceptive Advice & Services. Maternity Care. Children’s Immunisation and Travellers Vaccination Seasonal Flu Immunisation Child Health Surveillance Minor Surgery Chronic Disease Management . Women’s health including cervical cytology Electrocardiography Spirometry

GPs do not keep personal lists. Patients may consult the doctor of their choice but are encouraged wherever possible to stay with the same doctor throughout each episode of illness.

We are a small practice with a strong team spirit. We work hard and are proud of the standards that we achieve.
