OV-Jaarkaart = Annual Season Ticket for all Public Transport in the Netherlands (most expensive) NS-Jaarkaart = Annual Season Ticket for all Public Transport by Train in the Netherlands Annual Season Ticket for familymembers, only to order complementory to a OV- of NS-jaarkaart. The costs will collected directly and not spread over 12 months.

NS-Jaartrajectkaart = Annual Season Ticket for Public Transport by Train over a fixed route (most financial attractive at short routes).

As a complement to the route by train, you can order additonal zones for Bus, Tram and Metro. In Nijmegen it’s 1 additional zone from the station

You can order the following annual season train tickets:

OV-Jaarkaart With an OV-Jaarkaart you can travel with all the forms of Public Transport in all of the Netherlands. This includes the train, bus, tram and metro.

NS-Jaarkaart With an NS-Jaarkaart you can travel only by train in all of the Netherlands. It’s not possible to take the bus, tram and metro.

Complementary to the OV-Jaarkaarten and NS-Jaarkaarten there’s a possibility to order up to three extra “Bijkaarten” only for the use of family members. The prices of these tickets are highly reduced. But please take notice that these cards can’t be used in rush hour (only after 09:00 am). Please contact TC&O Mobydesk if you’re interested. For these tickets TC&O Mobydesk will need the names, birthdates en photographs. The costs of these tickets will be collected in one time.

NS-Jaartrajectkaart A NS-Jaartrajectkaart will only be suited for a fixed routed like for example Arnhem to Nijmegen. These annual season tickets are less expensive than the tickets mentioned above.

You can complement your NS-Jaartrajectkaart up to three additional zones for the bus, tram and metro. If you choose an additional zone they will be valid at the city (station) of departure and the city (station) of arrival.

Please note the example on the right side. An employee lives in Oosterbeek and needs two additional zones to travel to the station of Arnhem. In Nijmegen the employee only needs one. Conclusion, the employee needs to fill in on the form: the NS-Jaartrajectkaart with two additional zones from departure station Arnhem to arrival station Nijmegen.

The NS needs the time up to a maximum of 15 working days to produce the annual season ticket. On your annual season ticket will be printed an enddate of the 31st of octobre. This date is fixed due to the contract of your employer with NS.

OV-chipkaart Your annual season ticket will be provided with the OV-chipkaart. Travelling with the OV-chipkaart will be the new way of paying for travelling in the Netherlands. It’s still not officially required to travel by the OV-chipkaart. On the card there’s still the route to travel visible and you can travel by showing it to the driver/conductor.

But it’s possible to travel checking in or checking out. Please be informed that you always have to check-out once tou have checked-in. If you have any specific questions about the use of the OV-chipkaart please contact TC&O Mobydesk or ask the employees of NS at the station or train. They can explain how to use the ticket correctly.
