Start Up Lean and Lovely 2016 Registration Form Course Overview
Each session participants receive information, worksheets and resource material as well as lists of references for quality source materials and extra ideas. Throughout the course participants re-visit the previous week’s practical tasks and provide support and ideas to each other. Session One: Know your Why.
We look at your business in broad terms and highlight how your idea fits the promise that your customers are after. You will learn the underlying structural platform that is required to build a lean and lovely business. We will also examine some examples of micro- businesses and look at how their mission, values and vision drive their success and how we can apply this to our own businesses.
Session Two: Starting Lean & Getting Real
What makes a business ‘real’ in both the physical and virtual world? What are the underlying legal structures you need to know about to establish a business and what are the steps you need to take to get a deal on board and get traction ? In this session we take a plain English look at legal structures and how to create an MVP (minimum viable product). We learn the importance of testing, failing and pivoting as a strategy. Existing businesses can use these principles to reshape their offering.
Session Three: The Profitability Chain
We look at the seven key links in the profitability chain that enable you to build revenue in a smarter way! We examine how small changes to one or two areas of a business can impact revenue. We learn strategies for ‘tweaking’ each link and provide creative strategies for revenue streams.
Session Four: Checks and Balances In this session we cover what you can do to make sure that your business is streamlined and efficient, making your day to day activities run smoother. We look at workflow automation, precedent documents and systems that take guess work out of business operations. We will also look at some case studies to see how streamlining impacts wellbeing.
Start Up Lean and Lovely 2016 Registration Form Session Five: Do the Maths and Measure Up
Growing, measuring and putting things on autopilot. How do you step back from your business? What should you be measuring in your business to make informed decisions? In this session we re-visit some of the elements we have discussed in the previous sessions and look at how we can measure their success.
Session Six: Social Media and Communication
In this session we look at building a community and having genuine conversations with your customers. We examine testimonials, reaching out and staying connected. We also look at personal branding and how we can use social media to build authentic communities.
