WESTERN HERITAGE CU JOINS SHARED BRANCHING, LOCATIONS NOW IN WESTERN NEBRASKA
LAKEWOOD, CO (November 6, 2014) – Western Heritage CU, with two branches located in the Nebraska panhandle, is now offering CO-OP shared branching through CU Service Network (CUSN). Their branches will be added to the shared branching network, and their own 10,000 members will have access to over 5,000 branches across the country.
Western Heritage CU President/CEO Kurt Schmidt commented, “We are excited to provide our members in western Nebraska access to branches in Omaha, Rapid City, Denver plus many more locations around the nation. Our members frequently travel to these locations and this partnership with the Shared Branching network provides the branch access they want from their financial partner.”
It wasn’t too long ago that shared branches could only be found in Omaha and Lincoln. With the addition of Western Heritage CU to shared branching, the network will now expand across Nebraska. Throughout the past two years, many gaps have closed in the shared branching network, especially in smaller cities across the Midwest. “Western Heritage Credit Union looks forward to welcoming members of other credit unions into our branch with service just like they have come to expect from their home credit union,” said CEO Schmidt. Offering locations in the smaller cities, not just the big ones, strengthens the network and provides convenience to travelers and locals alike.
