Project Coordinator for “Evaluation of Alabama Medicaid’s Together for Quality Transformation Grant

(Program Coordinator II)

We will be evaluating the Alabama Medicaid Agency’s implementation of electronic clinical support tools in physician offices, the implementation of a data sharing record between Medicaid and the Department of Senior Services and implementation of care coordination for adults and children with diabetes and asthma in 11 Alabama counties.

Working under the guidance of the research team, the project coordinator will be responsible for (1) coordinating the evaluation activities and keeping track of scheduled tasks, (2) accepting, entering data and analyzing records maintained by care coordinators, (3) tracking the characteristics and extent of use of electronic clinical support tools in physician offices, (4) maintaining contact with the electronic support tool vendors and tracking progress in their completion of electronic products, and (5) designing, implementing and analyzing the results of several web-based surveys.

The position will run from 6/1/2008 through 9/30/2009.

The successful applicant will have a relevant Masters degree and/or at least three years experience in coordinating research or data analysis efforts. The applicant must have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable with interviewing personnel by telephone or in person. The applicant must have the capacity to keep track of multiple project activities and maintain activities on a schedule. Data entry and analysis skills with relevant computer programs are required. Experience with survey implementation is a plus.
