On this 24th day of March 1834 personally appeared before
Me a judge of the court of Bedford County John Molott
A resident of Belfast Township in the county of Bedford
And State of Pennsylvania aged 81 years, who being
First duly sworn according to ___, on his oath, make
The following declarations in order to obtain the benefit
Of the Act of Congress ____ June 7th 1832.
That he entered a ______of the United States under
The following ______officers and served as herein stated
Entered the service in the summer of 1776 volunteer, under the
Command of Captain Scisnea Coln Edward Coles ____
At Friends Cove Bedford County against the Tories
Marched to Bedford Courthouse was discharged ______
Home to Belfast Township Bedford County this tour of
Service was for 10 days again entered the service
Drafted militia for two months in May 1779 com-
Manded by ___ Beaty Coln James Martin assembled
At ___ marched to ___ town arrived there imme-
Diately after it was burned then marched to Bed-
Ford ___ to the ___ at Coln Martin’s Discharged
Having served two months and returned home; again drafted In Sept 1779 for 2 months militia under Leut
Beaty Coln James Martin assembled at Bedford
After the term expired Discharged. Again drafted
For 2 months militia in June 1782 commanded
By Captain Enslow Coln James Martin assembled at
Bedford kept garrison there, had to assist in burying
George Peck and all his family killed by Indians
And then marched back to Bedford had to obey the
Officers when ______after the term expired
Discharged; cannot recall of obtaining a discharge
At any time volunteered some time previous to this
______tour served under Captain Rush on
A __ after Indians marched over Sidling Hill
Through an uninhabited part of county ___ through ____ Creek Valley but from loss of memory cannot talk to a
Certainty the exact date nor tours of service but thinks it
Was ten days; declared ___ other services but can
Not from ___ of memory ___ any certain statement
And many occurrences where __ service is forgotten
That he has no documentary ____ but that he knows of
One or more persons whose testimony he can procure who
Can testify at least of seeing him in service (___)

He hereby relinquishes away ______to a pension
Or ___ except the present time declares that his name
Is not on the pension ______of any state
