REGIONAL GEOGRAPHY PROJECT

You will be reading about 10-12 regions through the semester. -For each region you need to compile information about one major topic. -The topic should be the same or have similar uses for each region. -You are to show and discuss how the topic differs between the regions -The topic should be presented as a Power Point Images..sketches...maps...visuals Write up for each region about the topic (Brief) -Be carefull….. DO NOT SIMPLY COPY SOMETHING OFF THE INTERNET... MAKE IT YOUR OWN WORK…

THIS IS A VISUAL ASSIGNMENT WITH EXPLANATIONS....NOT JUST A RESEARCH PAPER or ONLY PICTURES

Assemble all of the topics into one document -Power Point (put in website drop box) Last name, first name, topic -The Power Point should have at least 30 slides.

Document Presentation (at minimum) -Title page with name-class-campus-date -Organized -Typed -Be sure the pictures are sharp enough to see -Summarize your findings after doing all regions -References -Use a variety of sources. Clearly cite them or link them. -Wikipedia and Google Images are not references

Topic suggestions (you may come up with your own ideas, pick something you are interested in here and see how it varies between regions)

-Buildings (classic or typical not modern) -Agricultural methods crops...field patterns...farm buildings...machinery...methods of tillage -Clothing (traditional, not modern) -Sports -Headwear -Vehicles (how different from U.S.) -Roads/street design and materials -Bridges -Building materials -Architectural details of buildings roofs...doorways....designs -Cemeteries....burial... -Schools -Livestock -Gardens

Any and all materials produced by students in this class may be made available for other students and the public to view
