Dear Head Teacher
You will be aware Cheltenham & Tewkesbury Alternative Provision School (CTAPS), previously C&T PRS, has been commissioned by the Local Authority to provide full time places for permanently excluded pupils and those with no school place. Funding for preventative and early intervention behaviour support has now been delegated to schools. During this academic year we have not offered outreach work, although a few schools have requested and received support on a very ad-hoc/informal basis. Unfortunately this arrangement is not financially viable and thus I would like to offer the credit model, that was originally proposed in April 2013. This model is used by schools in both the Stroud and Gloucester areas.
This model may suit some schools; others might prefer a pay as you go model, which is also available at a slightly higher rate of £50 per credit.
Details of the credit model are given below; if this does not fit your requirements and you would like to discuss more specific needs, please contact me on the number below.
Yours sincerely
Ian Mudge Acting Head Teacher
