The Committee is working on developing a resource sharing page for membership. A survey was developed and input gathered from the NCCL Representative Council regarding areas to focus on first. The results of the survey showed the top interest area was regarding catechist recruitment and retention. The committee felt that this was something that could be addressed through a best practices approach, and shared that information with the PCL forum. The next category on the list was under the heading of New Evangelization. A questionnaire was developed and sent to NCCL members asking them to submit the following:

 Does your diocese/parish have a working definition of “new evangelization”? If so, please list it or attach it. Be sure to identify the source or author of the definition.  Is your diocese/parish doing anything to address new evangelization? If so, please give a short description.  Does your diocese/parish already have any prepared "New Evangelization" materials that you are willing to share with NCCL members? If so, please attach... Provide any authorship or source credits that should be included with the documents.  Are there any articles or media resources on the topic of the “new evangelization” and its relationship to catechesis that you would recommend to NCCL members? If so, please list or attach

The committee will use its time at the annual meeting to review items submitted and hopefully begin posting some to the website. We will also use the time together to network with the Evangelization Committee for their insights and help in collecting, reviewing and developing resources within this topic area.
