1. Make a list of different types of multi-modal texts: Webpages, Prospectuses, Movie trailers, DVD/book covers, Menus, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Maps, Diagrams, Graphs: Cereal boxes, Magazines, Billboards/posters Leaflets/pamphlets/ Brochures, Business cards, Advertisements
2. What do all these texts have in common? Refer to form, and purpose and style: All non-fiction, All combine images, colour, written text, All to persuade, All to inform.
