2. Invited Guest Wendy Thomson NHS

Siobhan Fraser reported that the Glasgow wide Health Survey had highlighted the prevalent use of Shisha, particularly in the South Side of the city. The invited guest, Wendy Thomson from the NHS made an informative presentation to the group on the effects of shisha smoking. She highlighted some of the “myths” surrounding Shisha and the misconception that it is not addictive and not harmful. SNAG unanimously agreed that this information should be made available to everyone in our community. SNAG discussed ways to do this and agreed that PSHE lessons and an information leaflet for pupils and parents would be the most effective platforms. L Farrell agreed to co-ordinate producing the leaflet with Tafara, Andrew, Caitlin and Melissa with the aim of co-ordinating this to tie in with No Smoking Day in March. SNAG thanked Wendy for taking the time to be at our meeting and for her excellent presentation. ACTION POINT : L Farrell to co-ordinate production of Information Leaflet with pupil volunteers.

3. FEARLESS Launch
