The winning agencies were 31 commended “for their commitment to providing access to their 32 information either digitally or in print through these quality 33 publications”; and 34 35 Whereas, selected by a group of state documents depository 36 librarians from around the Palmetto State and by staff at the South 37 Carolina State Library, winning documents are available for 38 viewing at the library; and 39 40 Whereas, preparation of the annual Legislative Manual is a 41 yearround undertaking with literally thousands of pieces of 42 information required to be checked or updated, and Charles Reid

[4047] 2 1 and his talented and capable staff compile a publication that most 2 people involved in government of any level, in any significant 3 capacity, cannot do without; and 4 5 Whereas, cognizant of his dedicated labors as editor of the South 6 Carolina Legislative Manual, the House of Representatives takes 7 great pleasure in honoring Charles Reid, Clerk of the House, and 8 his wonderful staff for their critical role in the creation of the 9 manual and in the resultant winning of this fine award. Now, 10 therefore, 11 12 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 13 14 That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, 15 by this resolution, congratulate Charles Reid, Editor of the South 16 Carolina Legislative Manual, and his fine team on the 17 publication’s receiving a 2010 South Carolina State Library 18 Notable State Document Award. 19 20 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to 21 the Honorable Charles Reid. 22 XX 23
